The Revera and Reel Youth Age is More Film Project is an intergenerational partnership between Revera, a Canadian leader in seniors' accommodation, care and services, and Reel Youth, a charitable project that empowers youth to create engaging films about important social issues. The partnership was launched in 2013.
With 80 films to date, the program celebrates older Canadians through story-telling and film, with the added benefit of fostering new intergenerational relationships. The project aims to shed light on ageism, challenge the assumptions of aging and recognize the valuable contributions of older adults to society.

Los integrantes del Gabinete Municipal de Aguascalientes presentaron de manera detallada a la Alcaldesa de la Capital, Lorena Martínez, los proyectos que aplicarán sus dependencias en la ejecución del Programa de Seguridad y Convivencia Ciudadana en la Colonia Insurgentes.
Al respecto, la Presidenta Municipal reiteró que el trabajo conjunto de las diversas áreas es un valor agregado que permitirá a este programa tener los resultados esperados, beneficiando a la población de esta zona que fue seleccionada para aplicar el novedoso plan de acción.
“Sé que además de aplicar sus programas con objetivos específicos, tienen la encomienda de poner un mayor esfuerzo ya que para la Administración Municipal es muy importante que logremos avanzar en esta estrategia de prevención de las violencias y la delincuencia”.
The Winston-Salem State University Choir is one of the oldest student organizations on the campus. There is evidence to prove that the institution of the choir predates the Department of Fine Arts/ Music, of which it is now a part. In the illustrious past of the choir, names such as Noah Ryder appear as one of the founding fathers of both the choir and the Department of Music. After Noah Ryder, famous composer and conductor, the choir was led by Dr. James A. Dillard. Other composers/conductors that have continued the unforgettable traditions of the choir have been Dr. Roland Allison, Dr. Permilla Dunston, Dr. Robert Morris, and Dr. James B. Kinchen, Jr.
The University Choir is now under the leadership of D'Walla Simmons Burke. This ensemble has performed commissioned works, such as On Imagination and I Too by Undine Smith Moore, Recent Reflections on Deep River by Michael Williams and Come Sunday arranged by S. Van Dixon. The choir also sings with the Winston-Salem Symphony Orchestra and the Gateways Festival Orchestra when major works are programmed.
On Wednesday, April 18, Westminster students were recognized at the Spring Honors Convocation for their outstanding academic achievements.
