The Canon AE-1 Program is my favorite manual SLR 35mm film camera ever. I also think it's one of the best looking SLR cameras. It has the biggest and brightest viewfinder I've seen. It's even bigger than the latest top full frame digital cameras like Nikon D3 or Canon 5D Mark II. This camera is also very easy to use. If you don't want to deal with manual settings, just set it to "Program", focus and shot. That's all.
Since 2009 the Film Photography Project has been accepting donations of film and traditional film cameras. These cameras are refurbished by the FPP volunteer staff and circulated to school and student programs in the US at no cost to those organizations.

NASA astronauts Douglas Hurley (left) and Robert Behnken (right) participate in a dress rehearsal for launch at the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on May 23, 2020, ahead of NASA’s SpaceX Demo-2 mission to the International Space Station. Demo-2 will serve as an end-to-end flight test of SpaceX’s crew transportation system, providing valuable data toward NASA certifying the system for regular, crewed missions to the orbiting laboratory under the agency’s Commercial Crew Program. I remember seeing tron when I was little and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Fast forward 8 years and LEGO ideas released this great little set. the printing on the figures is genuinely impressive. Perfect size for a desk; I definitely recommend picking this one up!
It's been fully film tested and it's in my camera shop CC Design Studios at www.ccstudio2380.com

Did you know the Film Photography Project provides refurbished and tested vintage film cameras free-of-charge to schools and not-for-profit organizations with film programs nationwide? When we started the program nearly a decade ago, we had no idea the demand would continue – much less grow! More and more educational and arts organizations are adding a film component to their photography courses, and the FPP is here for them. In 2024 alone, we’ve supplied over 300 working vintage cameras to High School, College and Arts Programs photography programs including Pickerington High School Central Ohio / California High School in San Ramon CA, Columbia University / BIPA grant program in NYC, ProPhound Kids Inc., RVCC Arts and Desgin in Branchburg NJ, Edgerton Jr. Sr. High School in Edgerton OH, Southeastern School District in Chillicothe OH and Woodrow Wilson High School in Los Angeles CA among others. This kākāpō chick was in the able care of hands from the Kākāpō Recovery Program . The photographer was the enthralled witness to this scene.
Please don't ask for more details as refusal may offend…or I might have to cook my own dinner.
