In March 2017, a team of water experts from São Tomé and PrÃncipe and Comoros travelled to Cabo Verde to meet national representatives from the water sector and exchanges best practices in the field of water management. The National Agency for Water and Sanitation of Cabo Verde (ANAS) hosted the programme. The main outcome was the consensus by the team of Comoros and São Tomé and PrÃncipe to create a national legal mechanism to finance investment in the water sector based on what was done in Cabo Verde.

Total 9 teams of student interns of the 3rd e+startup Internship Programme had pitched in front of the judging panel and 400 public audiences during OnSummit Pitch Day. The judging panel, formed by Edward Chan, Product Marketing Director of Evernote China, Christopher Geary, CEO and Co-founder of BSD Academy, and Bjorn Dawson, CEO of Grobo and visiting fellow of Kairos Society Canada, praised the high standard performance of the student interns. David Yu, presenter of Snapask/Appedu, won the competition.

The current UNDP programme cycle expires at the end of 2015, and a new UNDP Country Programme covering the period from 2016 to 2020 has been drafted. The new Country Programme is based on the United Nations – Azerbaijan Partnership Framework (UNAPF) and aligned with the priorities of the Azerbaijan: Vision 2020 national development strategy.
As part of the national consultative process, UNDP plans to present the draft Country Programme for discussion with the government partners, to validate the expected results and outputs and agree on the implementation arrangements. A national workshop was organized on 12 March 2015. Based on the comments and feedback from the Government, UNDP will finalize the Country Programme and submit it for review and approval by the UNDP Executive Board.
