October 18, 2023 - Participants from the âREnewables in Latin America and the Caribbeanâ (RELAC) initiative tour the Flatirons Campus of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Arvada, Colorado. Their visit to NREL also included a behind-the scenes look at the Energy Systems Integration Facility (ESIF), including the 3-D visualization laboratory and the hydrogen research areas. Participants from the individual countries also gave presentations on their action plans for energy storage. Home countries for the participants included El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Panama, Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and the Dominican Republic. (Photo by Werner Slocum / NREL)

The Utah State Office of Education Title VII Program partnered with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) this month for a one-day outdoor camp for American Indian urban youth.
The mission and purpose of the camp according to Jeanette Matovich, camp organizer with BLM, is to “connect youth to the great outdoors using the American Indian land use perspective. Also using a holistic approach to engage and educate youth about the natural world, and stewardship.”
The crews over in the HAB, working for C7 Aerospace, are well on their way to constructing the first fixed-wing aircraft in over 200 years. Will it fly? Only one way to find out!
