On the sidelines of the Kigali Cooling Efficiency Program annual meetings, an awards ceremony was held to recognise those champions clean and efficient cooling. Rwanda was recognised for being the first country in the world to develop a National Cooling Strategy and for its efforts to develop minimum energy performance standards for cooling appliances.

This morning, a group of Lindenwood University students gave their first tour of Ideal (Dis-) Placements: Old Masters at the Pulitzer, in French. This is the fourth year that Lindenwood French students have used the Pulitzer as a way to practice their second language. The students are first given a tour in English, then French, and then they themselves give tours to high school French-learners.

Fecomércio-DF lançou, na noite desta quarta-feira (31), o programa Sindicatos Empresariais nas Cidades. O intuito da ação, que percorrerá Regiões Administrativas (RAs), será ofertar serviços do Sistema Comércio ligados à Federação e aos 28 sindicatos, para que fomentem o associativismo e trabalhem na defesa dos interesses empresariais do setor de comércio de bens, serviços e turismo no Distrito Federal.

The Seabiscuit program took place on August 2003 at Countryside.
Seabiscuit's former jockey lives locally and he described the world of thoroughbred racing in the 1930s when Seabiscuit was the “all-star” of all time. He shared a scrapbook filled with his racing career highlights and shared many memories. The library was filled to capacity that day.
