On Sunday February 1st, we had an extraordinary day celebrating the grand opening of the Myra and Van Williams Spark Lab on our 3rd floor! 🎉

This brand-new, state-of-the-art STEAM learning space is designed for students in grades K–12, offering guided, registered programs and hands-on workshops in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.

This exciting new space was made possible through a powerful combination of public and private funding. With a generous lead gift from Myra and Van Williams and additional gifts from the late Helene and Russell Kulsrud, the MacMillan Family Foundation and the George H. and Estelle M. Sands Foundation. The Municipality of Princeton provided $175,000 in public support to furnish and equip the space.

After several years of planning and dreaming, we are thrilled to see this vision come to life! We can’t wait to see young minds light up in this incredible new space.

Our grand opening day also included activities, demos and hands-on displays and a chance to meet the scientists and engineers involved in the Interstellar Mapping and Acceleration Probe (IMAP) -- a Princeton-led NASA mission to study our solar neighborhood, the solar wind, and the cosmic shield between our solar system and the rest of space.
