teacher of 37 years from the Philadelphia
School District, she has been actively
involved in Relay for Life of Roxborough,
Save Darfur Coalition, and Life Unchained.
Ms. Moore serves as a volunteer at the
Andorra Branch of the Free Library where
she created a program to teach senior citizens
computer skills.

Es un programa educativo de residencias para creadores-educadores que introduce en el aula de primaria proyectos creativos donde el niño sea el protagonista. Este proyecto se basa en que un artista y una clase (tutor y alumnos) trabajan de forma conjunta para desarrollar un proyecto artístico.
Estamos acostumbrados a que los receptores de los programas educativos de los centros de arte tengan un rol pasivo de receptor de una información ya procesada. El rol activo de los niños en estos contextos, ya sea en los colegios o en los centros de arte, suele estar relacionado con las manualidades o la reinterpretación de grandes obras de los maestros.
LEVADURA involucra a los estudiantes y a su profesor con un rol activo a través del cual viven de primera mano los procesos creativos del arte contemporáneo y tienen una experiencia transformadora a partir de la cual son capaces de entender su entorno con una mirada artística y creadora.

National Air and Space Museum Recreates Launch of Apollo 11 on Washington Monument With Historic Projection-Mapping Program
Throughout 2019, the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo missions and help lead the national celebration of the first moon landing July 20, 1969.
The Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum will present a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 this July in partnership with the U.S. Department of the Interior and 59 Productions. For three nights—July 16, 17 and 18—a full-sized, 363-foot Saturn V rocket will be projected onto the east face of the Washington Monument from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. On Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20, a special 17-minute show, “Apollo 50: Go for the Moon” will combine full-motion projection-mapping artwork on the monument and archival footage on screens to recreate the launch of Apollo 11 and tell the story of the first moon landing.
Servicemembers’ children and volunteers participate in recreational activities during a South Carolina National Guard child and youth camp, Camp Bob Cooper, Summerton, South Carolina, July 28 - Aug 1, 2024. The youth camp is organized by the South Carolina National Guard Servicemember and Family Care Directorate and is open to all children of South Carolina National Guard Soldiers and Airmen. The week-long camp focused on team building and outdoor activities like water sports, rock-wall climbing, paintball, and a variety of group projects. Our students expanded their knowledge of Python by learning about lists. We started off this morning learning about basic lists but by the afternoon we were making two dimensional lists. They will use what they learned about lists to make a tic-tac-toe game. Our students are very eager to participate which has created an excellent classroom environment.

the whistler adaptive program works with both physically and mentally handicapped people, giving them the opportunity to see and experience all aspects of the mountain. i got to go out and be part of the program for the day.
it was a real privilege to get an inside look at life on the mountain.
The Seabiscuit program took place on August 2003 at Countryside.
Seabiscuit's former jockey lives locally and he described the world of thoroughbred racing in the 1930s when Seabiscuit was the “all-star” of all time. He shared a scrapbook filled with his racing career highlights and shared many memories. The library was filled to capacity that day.

Con los bailes del Team de Casa del Deporte y la presentación de diferentes talleres de Gimnasia Entretenida, Baile y Aerobox, las alumnas y alumnos estuvieron presentes arriba del escenario para el Lanzamiento de este programa que estuvo encabezada por la Alcaldesa Virginia Reginato y el Director de Casa del Deporte Sr. Javier Aravena.
