A group of eight Veterans and eight Volunteers traveled to the private waters on Beaver Creek in Ottobein, Virginia, Nov. 20, as the guests of landowner Jerry Black. The trip was made possible by the late Bill Cartwright, Shenandoah PHWFF Program Lead, who organized the trip prior to his passing. Although the day was cold, very windy and included light blowing snow, the Volunteer guides did an outstanding job under tough conditions to help everyone hook or catch fish.

Lately, I've been primarily designing things with these four characters.
Families & Schools Together partners with community-based organizations and schools across the U.S. and internationally to implement evidence-based family engagement programs.
We provide training, support, and technical assistance for:
School teams looking to run our evidence-based family engagement program with families (FAST Program); and
Educators looking for training and coaching on equity-focused family engagement best practices (FAST Institute).
Mentorship program succeeding

6-52 Air Defense Artillery
SUWON AIR BASE — Female Soldiers in the 6th Battalion, 52nd Air Defense Artillery met in Suwon Gym for the unit’s female mentorship program.
The training began with education on sexual assault prevention and response, followed by light stretching and upper body exercising.
First Lt. James Eide, who led the mentorship session, conducted a class on Cross fit, combining several exercises. Before doing the cross fit, he taught them theory about how to do exercise efficiently and when is the good time for exercise. He also taught about nutrition, explaining ways to maintain and improve health by dividing nutrition into fat, protein, vitamin, and mineral categories. After the classroom instruction, a workout followed.
Private First Class Nancy Cumberledge found the training worthwhile, and especially liked its emphasis on life values and good health.
Th mentorship programs aims to help women of 6-52 navigate their careers and guide them in successfully combining full-time careers with satisfying personal and family lives.
As many of you may know, my mom had been battling breast cancer for several years. She took ill in September, and I went up to visit. I was glad I did, for I was able to spend just a tad shy of a week with her before she left this earth.
This is the inside of the program I designed using one of my photos for her services.
Since my mom loved my photos and was always happiest receiving homemade things from her 5 children and numerous grandchildren, I was honored to create the memorial pamphlets and slideshow.
I love my mom dearly and she is already greatly missed.
The Serenity Prayer was her favorite....

WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- Emergency management experts Mike Sprague (middle), Joseph D. Plummer (middle right) and Christopher Taylor (far right) field questions during a session of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's Citizen Preparedness Corps Training Program at the Dulles State Office Building here on June 26, 2014. New York National Guard troops gave disaster and emergency training to about 158 people who attended the event. The program is designed to give citizens the knowledge and tools to prepare for emergencies and disasters, respond accordingly, and recover as quickly as possible to pre-disaster conditions. New York National Guard troops, working with experts from the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services, Office of Fire Prevention and Control, and local emergency management personnel will conduct future training sessions with the goal of teaching approximately 100,000 New Yorkers during 2014. Sprague is a regional director of the New York State Office of Emergency Management, Plummer is the director of Jefferson County Fire & Emergency Management, and Taylor is a fire protection specialist from the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control. I also imagined a modern-day version: An episode of Law and Order - Deadlock Victims Unit where a profiler cracks the mystery.
Minister Jinny Sims visited BCIT to see what students in the BC Energy Step Code program are learning. Students in this program will have the future skills to work on projects outlined in the CleanBC Government Buildings Program, which aims to make many government buildings smarter and more energy efficient.

Visitors attended a day-long studio workshop by independent instructor, artist, and conservator Corey D’Augustine. Participants were introduced to working in abstraction and expressionism through employing the painting techniques of the period, drawing inspiration from artists such as Robert Delaunay, Henri Matisse, Kazimir Malevich, Vasily Kandinsky, Ernst Ludwig and Franz Marc. As part of the workshop, participants visited The Great Upheaval: Modern Art From the Guggenheim Collection, 1910–1918 on view February 4–June 1, 2011 to view works of art in person, then moved to the studio to paint a small canvas based on these works.

The United States Air Force Band String Quartet held a special concert on May 8, 2016 for His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni, Her Majesty Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, and other invited guests to commemorate a performance that took place on May 9, 1956 in Phnom Penh at the invitation of the late King Norodom Suramarit and Queen Sisowath Monivong Kossomak Nearireath Serei Watana.
Joined by two Cambodian artists, The United States Air Force Band String Quartet played a mix of American, European, and Cambodian music, including two pieces by King Sihanouk that premiered in 1956.
The musicians concluded the 60th Anniversary Concert with a special birthday message for HM King Norodom Sihamoni and a heart-warming encore performance of "Monika" in honor of HM Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk.
