Heavily processed historic image from the Library of Congress of a Corning factory, from sometime in the 1930s or 1940s.
I wasn't happy with the previous upload of this photo, as it had zero post processing done to it. This version had it's levels sorted in paint.net, and noise removed by noiseware. It's much closer to what you could see with the eye on that day. Taken from Snettisham beach, Norfolk UK.
Still playing around with my first work, Process_01. Either you take to it or not. I kind of like the forms it's making.
It was working well with listening to Minamo's 'When Unwelt Melts'
This was processed using a single scan, duplicated, and run through
PSP X3's HDR system. And then of course, processed some more by my
own secret concoction of herbs and spices. Digital herbs and spices, I
suppose. No secret, really: just a combination of local burning,
dodging, saturating, desaturating, noising, and so on. I think it's
over-processed, at least for most purposes. . . but sometimes overly
spiced is good.

they've asked me to do a wall piece/mural in the new store. i'm documenting the process and posting it here.
Here's a detail of the corner of my bathroom counter. For the insulin dependent out there you might note my 'delivery device bouquet.' Having a handful ready to go just makes things easy in the mornings and when really hungry.
I also keep my old dryer sheets and lint brush ready to go. Cat hair is ubiquitous and the dryer sheets at least reduce how many of those 3M lint rollers I have to buy... even if they can't be relied upon alone.
The hand print ("Plant Seeds") was a thank-you mailer from plantseeds.org and had to be folded to be mailed affordably. I took advantage of the fold and just let it stand on its own.
The zebra tongs are a gift from my father after his recent trip to Kenya and the mini-rug is a gift from my friend Shaya and her trip to Iran a while back. And the soap-snail was charming gift from my friend Bethie... and lord knows where she picked that up.
