Problem- 3 tab shingle one layer only- shingles not lined up properly when installed and exposure under tabs
Leak 6’ from bottom of roof- ½”-3/4” exposure of shingles tab and water touching wood -roof deck from snow and ice pushing up. Many rusted nails
Tarred under many tabs where the water touching wood.
Leak area areas patched under tabs but not a perm fix
Water was also pouring into tabs as he has plank decking not roof deck sheets or boards and water in cracks in every plank of wood.
Couldn’t pull up every tab and seal or would have been there all day
Perm fix:
Will need underlayment under shingles- will experience more leaks until roof is replaced based on condition and new roof is required asap and Spring is urgent
When replacement is done the roof wood planks need to be replaced with ¾” plywood for roof deck with underlayment and re shingled.
Watching people do this pretty interesting looking V5. I actually managed to get off the ground on it...
I've been having this problem recently when quilting 'tighter' shapes - the bobbin thread isn't grabbed and held by the top thread - bobbin drag? no birds nests (so far) - any ideas for a cure

The problems in the living room have become considerably worse. A chunk of the concrete roof has fallen in. This is likely a result of the pick axes and other hacking performed above.
Tree Surgeons.
This old fir tree believed to be around 120 years old was causing problems for the nearby buildings ( the root system ) plus it was going rotten on the inside. It was the second large tree in this garden that had been cut down. It’s hard work and you really need to be agile and young.
A tree surgeon carries out all kinds of tree work including planting, care and maintenance and tree hazard assessments. Tree surgeons are also known as tree climbers or arborists. As a tree surgeon, you would need to be physically fit and have a head for heights. If you are interested in conservation and the environment, and you would like a practical job working outside, this job could be for you.
To get into this type of work you will need to be trained in using equipment such as chainsaws, ropes, ladders and harnesses. Many people move into this job after getting experience as a ground worker or helping tree surgeons. You may also be able to get into this job through an Apprenticeship in Trees and Timber.
As a tree surgeon or tree climber, your work really begins once you have climbed into the tree. Your duties will include:
Inspections to assess the health of trees, street or park tree pruning and branch removals, felling, planting, hazard assessment and diagnosis and pest control.
Your duties may also involve other tasks such as snow removal to take the weight off branches. You will usually work from a rope and harness, or you might use elevated work platforms known as cherry-pickers. People able to care for your trees are generally either consultants (tree advisors or arboriculture) or contractors (tree surgeons or arborists)
Our pellet stove's exhaust fan stopped working a few days ago. I think I finally found the reason...
One of the pins in this molex connector has come partially dislodged, creating a bad connection. The pin carries 120V AC power, so any sort of gap would create a high likelihood of arcing...as you can see.
Oops - Trackpad started to malfunction! It constantly clicked down. I had to bring it into the store. They were going to hold it for 3 to 5 days, but the good Apple corporate team was able to help me get this done within 24 hours.
