A lot of the work needed was a result of the neighbours leak, their tie in was not sealed properly, and they share a chimney that also has problems on the neighbour side, 2 pipes on neighbours side had to be repaired as it was leaking into 410 wellsely
Work done:
Scrapping 45 feet of the tie-in roof and two feet going around chimney, roof cement and fabric
replaced gravel, to keep moist
Sealed several cracks on chimney with caulking
Fixed two pipes on neighbour roof to prevent leaking on his roof using fabric and cement
Fixed area where metal was sticking up on shingled roof
Reattached gutter where it was leaking
*future recommendation—two pipe flashing that need to be scrapped and repaired as they are rusted out, tar is cracked will have future leak*

Violencia en el noviazgo
La violencia ha sido un continuo problema en la sociedad actual que afecta al desarrollo de una persona a nivel físico, social, psicológico y emocional. Cuando la violencia se produce en una etapa de la vida tan importante como en el desarrollo emocional a través del noviazgo, es común confundir con mucha frecuencia las actitudes de posesión, poder y control con amor. Esto no solo daña profundamente a las víctimas, sino también a sus familiares y amigos.
La vida de un ser humano se conforma de muchas etapas y una de las más importantes es el noviazgo, esto implica que dos personas se gusten y que tengan algunas cosas en común, por lo tanto, han logrado una afinidad amorosa, además de cierto grado de confianza e intimidad. Esta etapa o proceso tiende a idealizarse como algo hermoso, lleno de amor, confianza y plenitud, sin embargo, no todos los noviazgos cumplen con estas características. Ya que, en algunos casos, los hombres ejercen violencia hacia las mujeres y, viceversa, siendo considerado como algo “común” o “normal” dentro de una relación de pareja.
De acuerdo con el Instituto Mexicano de la Juventud (2017) se entiende por violencia en el noviazgo: “Cualquier agresión física, psicológica, mental y sexual con el fin de dominar y mantener el control sobre la otra persona”. Esta violencia inicia con cualquier comentario que incomode a la otra persona, posteriormente, se dan los jaloneos que pueden parecer un juego, pero conforme va pasando el tiempo, todo esto comienza a empeorarse y llega a ser muy grave.
CAUSAS DEL DESARROLLO DE LA VIOLENCIA (HOMBRE – MUJER)
En la construcción de la masculinidad se tienen en cuenta diferentes ámbitos como: la familia, la escuela, los medios de comunicación y todos aquellos escenarios donde es probable que el niño aprende, desde sus pensamientos hasta su conducta, por ejemplo: no puede llorar, debe ser fuerte, no debe mostrar sus sentimientos, no puede tener miedo y debe ser viril. De una o de otra forma estas enseñanzas afectan la manera en que el niño se relaciona con los demás y consigo mismo.
La masculinidad ha sido guiada a través del poder, es decir, ser hombre significa tener y ejercer poder; el poder asociado a la masculinidad exige poseer algunas características, tales como: ganar, ordenar, lograr objetivos y ser duro.
TIPOS DE VIOLENCIA EN EL NOVIAZGO
De acuerdo con la Encuesta Nacional sobre Violencia en el Noviazgo (2019) realizada por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (INEGI): “3 de cada 10 adolescentes denuncian que sufren violencia en el noviazgo. En el caso mexicano, 76% de los adolescentes entre 15 y 17 años ha sufrido violencia psicológica, 17% sexual y 15% física”.
La conceptualización del noviazgo se ha visto tergiversada debido a las diferencias de género y a la idea equivocada de ser “el dueño/dueña de la pareja”. Para ello se suelen aplicar diversas estrategias para ejercer violencia sobre la pareja, por ejemplo:
•Violencia física: “Hacer uso de fuerza física para causar daño a la pareja o para obligarla a realizar algún acto que ésta no desea” (Bookwala, Frieze, Smith y Ryam, 1992).
•Violencia psicológica: “Es toda conducta orientada a la desvalorización de la otra persona” (Alberdi & Matas, 2002).
•Violencia verbal: “Ocurre cuando alguien utiliza el lenguaje, ya sea escrito o hablado, para causar daño a la víctima” (Robles, 2020).
•Violencia sexual: “Sucede cuando una persona es forzada a participar en alguna actividad sexual sin su consentimiento” (Robles, 2020).
•Violencia emocional: “Ocurre cuando alguien dice o hace algo para que la otra persona se sienta sin valor” (Robles, 2020).
•Violencia digital: “Este tipo de violencia involucra el uso de tecnologías, tales como la mensajería y las redes sociales, para acosar, hostigar, acechar o intimidar a la pareja” (Robles, 2020).
ROMANTIZACIÓN O NORMALIZACIÓN DE LA VIOLENCIA
La violencia se manifiesta a través de los celos excesivos o controlar la interacción con los demás, vigilar quien les habla, como deben comportarse, así como exigir estar presente en las redes mediante fotos o estados, son algunas actitudes o comportamientos que se han naturalizado y que se dicen ser “indispensables” o “necesarios” para tener una buena relación con la pareja.
Las redes sociales han tenido un papel importante en la normalización de la violencia en el noviazgo debido al surgimiento de los “memes”, los cuales han sido utilizados para disfrazar la violencia, el control y el sometimiento. Fue así como surgió el término de las “amiguitas” y “amiguitos” de las parejas, considerados como posibles infidelidades. Otro término que ha surgido es la del “tóxico” y la “tóxica” donde se les da un sentido de familiaridad a esta clase de relaciones, asegurando que a pesar de lo difíciles o dañinos que pueden ser, así siempre han sido y no cambiarán.
Esta clase de conductas son socialmente aceptadas y toleradas por las mismas parejas debido a que se esconden bajo palabras lindas, un falso sentido de protección y cuidado.
SOLUCIONES AL PROBLEMA DE VIOLENCIA EN EL NOVIAZGO
+ La violencia generada a lo largo del noviazgo se puede prevenir poniendo límites y sabiendo identificar los focos rojos y alertas de violencia, en una relación de pareja se debe tener criterio propio y libertad para hablar de cualquier tema, así como un equilibrio de convivencia entre amigos, familia y pareja.
+ Evitar “endiosar “a la pareja, es decir, que se le idealiza de manera en la que no se quieren ver los defectos, ya que automáticamente por ser novio/a se convierten en perfectos.
+ La comunicación y la confianza deben ser retroalimentadas diariamente, así como resolver los problemas de forma madura, evitando gritos y reproches sin sentido, ya que comunicarse con el compañero/a ayuda a manejar las emociones incómodas y a tratar a los otros con respeto.
+ En una relación sana ambos miembros se respetan, confían uno en el otro y aceptan las diferencias, así como su pasado.
+ Si una persona no se siente cómoda/o con su pareja es necesario dialogar y, en caso de ser necesario, terminar la relación, de manera que ambos estén más felices y puedan desarrollarse de una mejor manera.
