this bucket we also use for the Bulk of our special parts. It also doubles as a door block. Our door is broken and doesn't close, We would leave it open but our family's cats like to come into our room and wreak havoc on our lego collection (I've actually needed to replace peices they have chewed through) we can close our door from the outside, But if we do it from the inside we cant open it up again :P so at night we put this bucket in front of the door to keep it closed

Sigh. Remember the other day I mentioned I had found some sensor dust on my D800. Well, today I got home, where I have the “industrial” size blower and I went to town on the sensor to clean it, and then my worst fears came true. It appears it’s not dust, it may be that sensor oil issue others have found from the manufacturing process (it’s believed the mirror or shutter action flings oil onto the sensor). So tomorrow I’ll have to take steps to get that oil off the sensor. Seems to be a common problem with Nikon’s pro SLRs so I’ll start with a Visible Dust wet cleaning kit rather than put my camera into Nikon’s service centre in Mississauga. Last time I did that with my D200 it took almost three months to get it back and I’ve got photos to take in the meantime.
The photo above is a composite from four images. I took the photos in sequence using the stop down and defocus technique for spotting sensor dust in between. I aimed the camera at my white drapes. Other than cropping out a 6 megapixel image out of the 36 megapixel sensor it’s unmodified from the camera. Yay.

“Eu confio no trabalho da prefeitura e a minha expectativa é que os serviços melhorem cada dia mais, pois com essa pandemia tudo ficou mais difícil”, falou Dureis, moradora do bairro Bom Jesus, localizado na região Nacional.
A UPA Ressaca conta com 33 leitos, realizando uma média diária de 180 a 200 atendimentos. Esses números devem mudar com a inauguração da UPA Nacional, prevista para o final deste ano.
Localizada no bairro Pedra Azul, a nova UPA terá capacidade para atender 350 pacientes por dia. Com investimento de R$ 5,4 milhões, a construção do equipamento começou em maio de 2020, chegando ao final do ano passado apenas com 14% de conclusão. Neste ano, a Prefeitura alterou o cronograma da obra, implementando mais agilidade nas execuções, o que fez as obras chegarem ao final de outubro com quase 80% concluídas. Neste momento estão sendo executados os serviços de elétrica, hidráulica e revestimentos.
Modelo SSA
No início de outubro, a Câmara Municipal de Contagem aprovou, por unanimidade, a proposta enviada pelo Executivo que cria o SSA. O modelo de SSA, que será implantado na cidade a partir do dia 7 de novembro, é o mesmo utilizado pelo Hospital Metropolitano Célio de Castro – Hospital do Barreiro, e a Associação das Pioneiras Sociais, responsáveis pela Rede Sarah Kubitschek, ambos em Belo Horizonte.
O Serviço Social Autônomo – SSA é uma criação da Prefeitura com CNPJ próprio, em que o Executivo faz parte da gestão, com 50% de representação no Conselho de Administração. Com esse modelo, o Executivo terá mais autonomia na gestão do serviço. O SSA será gerido pelo Conselho de Administração que será composto por seis membros, sendo três do governo, representados pelos secretários de Saúde e da Fazenda, além do titular da Procuradoria-Geral do Município. As outras três vagas serão ocupadas por um representante do Conselho Municipal de Saúde, um representante dos trabalhadores e um representante da sociedade civil.
Para melhor interlocução da Secretaria de Saúde com a nova empresa está sendo criada uma comissão de trabalhadores que será formada com um representante de cada unidade que será gerida pelo SSA.

Life is not always smooth sailing here at your Belfast Podcast. Over here we have free-to-air digital wide-screen television called 'Freeview'. What this means is that if you have a 'Digital TV' tuner in your television or have bought a 'Freeview' box you get up to 30 TV channels with no monthly subscription.
This is fine in principal but sucks when the reception is bad as these photos show. Actually, I think they're pretty cool - the images freeze - crashing on your screen. Pretty nifty but I was missing the program I really wanted to see this afternoon.
Utah's Goose Problem
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking the public's ideas about how to manage increasing numbers of Canada geese that are finding Utah's golf courses, sod farms and other urban and suburban areas inviting places to visit.
While many people thrill to see Canada geese in urban and suburban settings, the geese themselves are causing problems.
In parks and other open areas near water, Canada geese are denuding lawns of vegetation and creating conflicts with their droppings and feather litter. Goose droppings in heavy concentrations can overfertilize lawns and can contribute to excessive algae growth in lakes that may result in fish kills and contamination of municipal water supplies.
Geese also have been involved in a growing number of aircraft strikes at airports across the country, resulting in dangerous takeoff and landing conditions and costly repairs.
Canada geese are drawn to these areas because they consist of ideal goose habitat — park-like open areas with short grass adjacent to small bodies of water.
Tom Aldrich, waterfowl coordinator for the Division of Wildlife Resources, says Utah is experiencing increasing problems with Canada geese as development has brought golf courses, sod farms and other enticing areas closer to wetland areas where geese live.
He also said that Canada goose populations are increasing in the western United States and geese have learned that many urban and suburban areas are good places to escape hunting pressure in the fall.
Preventing geese from visiting areas such as golf courses has been challenging. Chemical treatments of golf course lawns, for example, are very expensive, Aldrich said.
Hunting on golf courses also has proven largely ineffective because it takes place close to buildings and many people find the hunting of geese on golf courses unacceptable, Aldrich said.
Noise devices to keep geese off golf courses also have largely failed because they disturb golfers and people living near the golf courses.
Aldrich said there has been some success with training dogs to chase away geese that land on golf courses, but these dogs cost thousands of dollars to buy and train.
The options the Service is proposing range from doing nothing to treating Canada geese involved in these situations like pest species. In between those extremes are options that include managing habitat to make it less attractive to geese; harassment, trapping and relocation of birds; and more direct population stabilization and reduction programs.
It is the options at the far end of the scale that concern Aldrich the most. "If it went to the one extreme, it could have a very negative effect on our local, breeding birds," Aldrich said. "If you allow someone to go out and kill every goose that is believed to be causing a problem, you're eventually going to dramatically impact our local breeding populations."
Aldrich said that type of management option will probably not be supported by states west of the Rocky Mountains, which in part make up what is called the Pacific Flyway.
"I doubt any of the states in this flyway will support an option that doesn't have a very controlled and focused process that dictates when and where you can use various removal methods, and under what circumstances," Aldrich said.
Aldrich said this issue is an important one because Utah's goose populations are not only important to Utah residents, but are appreciated by people in adjacent states where Utah-reared geese often spend the winter.

They describe themselves as "four-piece feminist queer punk band from Belfast". Great fun, energy and they sound great too and are great at banter with the crowd. I was looking forward to them at Stendhal and they didnt dissapoint! I love them!
