There's a problem with the wiring. Could you have a look?
A German electrician might suffer a heart attack just from looking at this image.
Do not be stuck in the past, that is over.
Do not get stressed from the future, it’s not that far.

This picture was definitely the worst shot I took on Saturday. It had so many problems I never considered using it… that is until I saw an image of this same structure that Jim Patterson uploaded.
The thing is, he posted along with his composition the recipe for post processing the image to give it a fantastic shine (so to speak). I decided to try to follow as much of his instructions as I could on this pathetic excuse for a photo, and though I didn't have the NIK software he used, the rest was able to be followed, even with CS4 instead of CS5 which he used. This is the end result of following those instructions. I'm pretty proud of it now.
Thanks Jim, you are a gem of a human being. I really appreciate the help you are to the rest of us who are trying to better our craft.
This should be the last of the Pigeon Point images that I'll be posting.
Yes, we are currently mere shadows of ourselves as we have become trapped in DIARRHEA HELL!
For two months Tidda has been suffering from increasingly frequent bouts of diarrhea. For the most part, she seems to be feeling okay and enjoys her walks, is hungry and plays. I on the other hand have been reduced to stumbling in a trance from one colon emergency to the next, randomly having to drop everything and take her outside or, worse, having to get up at 2 a.m. to take her out. And then again at 5.
Stool samples are negative for Giardia, negative for worms. She's been on probiotics and prebiotics for 10 days and has had several 24-hour fasts, now mostly getting rice and home-cooked chicken broth. She's losing weight and does seem to be a little less energetic.
The 12 day wait for the vet appointment has been the longest 12 days ever. It's no longer episodic but just continuous diarrhea. I wanted to bring her in as an emergency on Saturday but then she seemed slightly better and the vet "no longer had any same day visits available" that day. To be honest, I might be suffering more than she is. They said I'm doing everything right and she should get better.
Ever since the pandemic, the vet clinic has been chronically understaffed and overburdened and I've heard it's due in large part to the extreme local housing shortage as they can't hire people if there is no affordable place for them to live. Another issue is that I have constant problems buying her regular food as intermittently it's just not available due to the supply chain problems that are affecting pet foods. It's a real stressor for me. I'm going to see what the vet thinks about the possibility of making my own food for her.
Yet, Tidda is her sweet and good self. I'm trying to emulate her in that regard. I tell myself we will get through this and she will get better. Life just never seems to get any easier, though.
Wish us luck for the vet visit on Wednesday!

The Mexican Free-Tail Bats, that is. There are 1.5 million bats living under that bridge and they come out every evening after sunset. This is the trip I've been telling you about. I planned this trip for over a month. I check the cycles of the moon to make sure there would be a full moon rising, as the bat fly to the east when they come out. Well, everything was perfect, The moon came up right on time with very few clouds. I had a great lens, my batteries were charged and I was with my friend on a rented boat. The only problem was, unbeknownst to me, the bats have just had there young..So, they don't want to fly too far away and with all the rain we've had, there are plenty of bugs right there under the bridge.Oh well, I made the best of it. I got some great moon shots and skyline images, plus I was with friends and it was only 10 bucks each. I plan to do it again around the end of July or mid August. I just have to check the moon schedules again. I know there will be a full moon the end of July, but what's important is what time the moon comes up
African Carder Bee (Pseudoanthidium repetitum)
The first of these I have seen this season.
These were first sighted in Australia in 2000. My first sighting was in 2022.
I am having tech problems today, hopefully I can upload these images and I will catch up when I can - it may be tomorrow.
Happy Wing Wednesday!
After being shut out the night before by a stubborn storm that refused to break up over Jasper National Park, we had our fingers crossed as we headed back to Maligne Lake the following morning. We all seemed pretty happy with our blue hour shots, but as sunrise approached, it really began to look like we might not see the sun at all that day. I think we had all resigned ourselves to the fact that we were looking at another completely gray day when I glanced up an noticed the faintest wisp of pink on one of the clouds. Sure enough, the sun broke through just enough to throw some fleeting color across the the clouds that were continuing to roll in from the West. I think Tom and I are the ones in our group who really have a problem standing still during moments like this. Both of us went off in all directions at once, and both of us had two camera bodies for just such an occasion. Leaving my D800 on the tripod, I took off running with my D750 and cranked up the ISO a bit while I looked for other comps in addition to what I was getting down at the lakeside.
As I was racing back to my spot in front of the boat house, this puddle caught my eye and I spent the next few minutes trying to shoot if from several different angles with the 14-24. There have been times where I have doubted my run and gun approach, but I usually reserve it for situations where I feel like I've got a decent shot on the tripod before setting of to see what I might be missing maybe just a few steps away. If I had stayed camped out where I was I would have missed this particular shot along with quite a few others. We ALL gave in to temptation two nights before when we had a perfectly good view of the late afternoon sun up at the Opabin Prospect, but curiosity got the better of us and we full out RAN back up the trail to get more shots of the larches behind us. So I think there is something to be said for making sure you KEEP MOVING once you believe you have a decent shot...especially when you might only have another few minutes of good light.
This being said, it helps to be able to TRUST the guys who you are shooting next to. Maybe leaving the camera on the tripod while you run like a maniac in all directions should be reserved for those times when you actually know the people around you...or you might not have a camera when you get back. :)

My shadow solved the problem of having entirely too much contrast on a bright sunny morning!
Here is the view I went to capture in Iceland. It is a truly beautiful spot, but it was ruined for me by photographers being I suppose people. I hiked out before dawn the weather report was for sun the weather report in Iceland was never right but then the weather seam so local changeable by that I mean local to around 100 meters or so! Anyways I hiked out to this amazing spot I’d read about seen so many pictures of, I was the first one there I set up started taking a few shots .Just as the light was about to get interesting from nowhere carloads of photographers ruck up at surround me hedged in far enough I’ve got my spot. It’s fair game anyone can come and do this no problem then some start setting up in front of me and probably all the other ones as well! Now call me old fashioned but that’s just rude! We are all there with the same cause. So here is the image with the rude people photoshopped out lol. And please forgive my giving off about photographers! It’s a bit like complaining about traffic we are traffic… One thing it forced me off road which was a good thing to start finding spots that people didn't go to and thats when I realy started to enjoy Iceland!
I had to overcome a fair bit of adversity for this shot, most of it my own doing too.
Every night this week, Melbourne has been blessed with colourful sunset. The one time I get a chance to grab the camera and head out, this was as colourful as the sunset got! Blah. No problem, I'll switch to plan 'B', some long exposure photo's. ND filters still sitting on the kitchen table. No problem, just wait a little longer and take some city skyline shots after dark - fully charged battery sitting on the kitchen table next to the ND filters. I only had enough juice in the battery for a couple of shots. I'm happy with this one, but there were far better vantage points I found on the long walk back to the car.

The "QR code for the place" on the wall outside the window is a new-born relic of the past, after six months of monitoring the lives of the residents, as China has completely abandoned its anti-epidemic restrictions.
Theoretically, each customer was supposed to scan the "QR code for the place" with his/her smartphone, which then displayed a so-called "health QR code": if it was green, it meant there is no problem, if it was yellow, the customer would be refused and, if it was red, everyone, whether the customer with the red QR code or the shop assistants who were present, would be arrested and taken to a concentration camp for quarantine.

“So, what are you worried about, Sky?” Asked Barnaby as the bears gathered around for the man to take their photograph.
“Quite a lot, Barnaby. Honey supplies for a start.”
“Honey supplies, Sky? What is the problem?” Asked Bertie also looking concerned.
“It all comes down to the man. He is trying different places where he gets his food from using the complonker. He uses new digits to order and while I have watched and think I have the new ones I was not sure.”
“Sky, the man had the usual van deliver his things last week, I saw it there and was waiting for our stuff but it did not come.” Said Posh Bear.
“No, it is all getting confusing. The man seems to be ordering from both the new one and the old one, which makes it difficult for me to know which one to add our things to. Anyway, I think the man is going bonkers.” Said Sky.
“I quite agree, Sky, but then we have always thought that.” Said Bertie smiling.
“No, I mean totally bonkers, Bertie. When the man had a friend around here recently, I noticed that they were both talking to a green growing plant his has. He has even given it a name and was calling it Vera and he was saying hello to it. It didn’t answer, and his friend even tried but the plant ignored them.”
“Are you sure, Sky?” Asked Posh Bear looking worried.
“Yes, they both kept on saying hello Vera to this plant. Is that weird or what? Then he starts ordering his things from two suppliers.”
“That is very strange behaviour, Sky, I agree. I wonder why he called it Vera? Why not Sky, Bertie, Theo, or Posh, like we are called? Why give the green thing that grows a name at all? All very strange, but not that important to us bears. Now, the possible lack of honey, well that is different.” Said Posh Bear.
“Luckily Posh, we have a genius at the helm of ordering, and I have taken measures to make certain that we still can order from now on.”
“Sky is such a genius.” Said Barnaby looking in admiration at his friend.
“I know, Barnaby, but as I was saying.” Said Sky
“So modest with it too.” Chimed in Bertie giggling.
“As I was saying, I am now ordering from both suppliers, however, there is a slight problem in that if they both supply, we may have a little more than normal.”
“You say a little more, Sky, roughly how much more?” Asked Posh Bear.
“Well, just in case one supplier did not send us what we ordered, I added extra to both orders. Well, I think I did for I was never much good at numbers, so, well I think we had better make extra room to store what comes.”
“So, is it fair to say that you do not know what you ordered then, Sky?” Asked Bertie.
“Well, I am not totally sure, Bertie, but if you need to know I am sure that Vera would know for she was looking at the screen as I did the ordering. So, do you speak green growing thingy, Bertie?”
“Time will tell, Bertie, we will soon find out.” Said Posh Bear smiling.

When you can see something like this, -15ºC isn't a problem.

I have seen this Agile wallaby in my backyard a few times. I have spoken to the local wildlife carer and he said that the missing arm and the deformed arm was probably caused by a dingo attack. She must find it difficult to get around because they do use their arms for mobility when they are not hopping with their legs and also cleaning themselves.

The apartments in the foreground have been abandoned for over two years. If this were anywhere but the ROK they would be overtaken by the homeless but we have no homeless here in Wonju and homelessness is not much of a problem anywhere in this country where kinfolk take care of kinfolk.

e ne ho tranciato i rami.
Questi vasi con le prugne sciroppate …
Sono quelle recuperate dai rami tranciati.
Un abbraccio carissimi amici da Liliana.
