The crack in the top right was what was lurking behind the tape. All evidence is that it's been that way for a while; the left hand side valley was filled with caulk. The core problem is that this peak is a clerestory window (see other pictures of the house) and it shifts when a gust of wind slams the flat of it.
It's hard to tell from the picture, but poor Warren has had a not so great life. There have been attempts to dye her hair green, she has 2 nicks in her face when my hand slipped during a fiddly chip change. And her fringe is wonky. Poor thing.
I really don't know what to do with her. If I save up the money, she could end up with lime green mohair. Or I could just sell her as is. But I do feel responsible.
The Packer's Pass trail seemed to end at the base of this waterfall with no clear way around. Did we miss a turn and follow a spur? A bit of searching revealed a rocky path left of the falls.

I have some problems with this picture :

On 2 screen, it looks good with a dark blue colour, but with a lot of details ( feathers, shadows, reflection, with different colours of blue and a pink light from left)
But, on another screen, the picture is too much dark and I loose all the details of the trees ( feathers). Hope it i just a "screen problem" !
So... I have tried to lighten a little bit for this new picture.

Problem: Leak on second story above child bdrm coming through vent
Leaking as there is no underlayment , snow and ice build up around, exposed nails around vent causing leak, some missing shingles in front of home, several leak sources from popped up nails
Solution: Able to seal around vent using roof cement, to make water tight.
shingles are too cold to remove and would be too brittle so sealed with roof cement all area where there were missing shingles and exposed wood, renailed popped up nails and sealed
Assessment: The rest of the roof does not have under layment, add underlayment when redo roof, must properly add under layment and reshingle around one or more vents in spring to avoid future leaking.
