For the same color assignment.

Couldn't resist this one for Primary Colours when I spotted it in Chapel St Leonards, Lincolnshire. :)

Abstract.

True macro (1:1) of oil droplets on water. Used a different, more reflective background for this one.

I found a roll of unexposed film in my drawer, Twitter helped me decide it was probably Fuji Pro400H. I shot it at 200 to be on the safe side.

Red Blue Yellow together

My eye seems to notice all 3 primary colours together and I just have to snap them :-)

It's been cold, raining, and just nasty in general all week. Then for a short time on Wednesday, the sun made an appearance.

Photo taken for Our Daily Challenge: Primary. See alternative below. Both photos taken at the Goodwill store.

Not well. Comment later.

A revisiting of sorts of this shot.

Two things bothered me about the older photo at this location.

1.) That it needed the square crop to be effective.

2.) Low resolution. This is partly related to the crop mentioned in #1, but is also related to an older digital camera (which served me well, bless it) with only 3.1MP max.

Submitted to Photo Friday - 'Spiral'

I have been for some time photographing self-portraits just because yes. This allow me to do exactly what i want to do. I'm a passionate about light and color and I love to mix them together (cold/warm). I see this photo as a homage to that.

Poor quality (taken with my smartphone) but I liked the morning bright colours.

Haven't been very active on Flickr lately;

fotog has left me feeling a little flat

(my failings, not the artform).

Plus, so much else going/ongoing.

Here's one from the archives while I try

to get my groove back sometime soon.

I miss Brooklyn today/everyday.

C'mon, go large or go home.

Third time around with this theme, and now i'm finally happy with the resluts :)

I visited Catherine's Primary School in order to meet

three nephews my friend Hussey supports. Weekly,

he brings his brother's widow's children sugar, and covers their

tuition and living expenses. Hussey's heart doesn't stop there though.

I'm not a microbe expert, but I believe the blue splotches are created by "iron bacteria," a class of bacteria that uses iron as an energy source. They flourish when iron is deposited in streams and often create an oily film on the water surface like in this picture. I am not exactly sure how it is formed, but it is harmless. And it looks pretty cool, too.

For Our Daily Challenge: Primary

A lovely friend gifted me the tights and shoes from Primary Subject Giselle (my favourite part of her outfit) so of course I had to create my own 'Primary Subject'. I chose Ayumi Charmed Child as my model as her bright red hair is a perfect element to include in the 'primary colours' colour palette.

Ayumi wears:

- tights and shoes from Primary Subject Giselle

- graphic sheath dress made by me

- hooded top from Violaine Beyond This Planet

- bag from Colette Duranger Supernova
