This photographs shows the start of the construction of the City Hall (later Caird Hall). To the north is Castle Lane. The long blocks are reinforced concrete piles that form part of the foundations and structure of the Hall.

3/4 c flour
1 egg, room temperature
1 c milk, room temperature
Pot roast drippings to coat
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F, and put muffin tin in oven to preheat.
Whip eggs, then add milk and flour. Mix well.
Add generous amount of drippings to cover bottom of pan. Add batter to pan and bake until golden brown and puffy. Serve immediately.
