Prep for Welding
In order for a good weld, I wanted to wire wheel the paint off of the surfaces that I would be welding to.
Once I determined the rough location, I scratched the mount across the control arm so I knew where to wire wheel. I used a corse wire wheel on an air powered die grinder to remove the paint. It surprised me how durable it is. BMW didn't skimp on the quality of this coating.
