In nomadic families, the woman takes care of the food and the house. The food consists mainly in meat (cow, mutton and goat), some imported vegetables (carrot, potato, garlic and onion) and flour. Usually, they go to the nearest town or village to buy gasoline, food (processed food and vegetables), toilet paper, etc. All other things they prepare it by themselves: the wrappers for the dumplings, the minced meat, the noodles, etc.

My kids are in an Easter Hat Parade on Wednesday, so we spent a while today making, then decorating the hats. I could not resist a photo of these Chenille chicks before they adorned one of the hats :-)

This was actually my alternate shot of the day today.

He took forever to jump. I heard a lot of screaming and shouting so it wasn't a perfect jump by any means according to his mates. As seen under the Västerbron bridge yesterday afternoon.

Saturday I had my first sighting (see previous upload), monday was again bullseye.

While we were tracking a female Marsh Harrier in hunting mode, suddenly another big bird in a lighter brown plumage came in from the low left. We realised instantly that was a Bittern!

Not only did the bird do a flyby, it also turned and landed right in front of us. My 560mm was a little short for a real portrait but this makes a very nice image too :)

Technicians prepare the Mass Spectrometer Observing Lunar Operations (MSolo) for NASA's Volatile Investigating Polar Exploration Rover (VIPER) mission for packing inside a laboratory in the Space Station Processing Facility at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Feb. 21, 2023. MSolo will be shipped to Johnson Space Center in Houston for integration into VIPER. MSolo is a commercial off-the-shelf mass spectrometer modified to work in space and it will help analyze the chemical makeup of landing sites on the Moon, as well as study water on the lunar surface. MSolo will be part of NASA's first Commercial Lunar Payload Delivery Service (CLPS) mission where under the Artemis program, commercial deliveries will be used to perform science experiments, test technologies, and demonstrate capabilities to help NASA explore the Moon and prepare for human missions. VIPER is scheduled to be delivered to the Moon's South Pole in late 2024 by Astrobotic's Griffin lander as part of the CLPS initiative. Photo credit: NASA/Kim Shiflett
