Not raly my thing, but I thought the idea was cool. Far away, you don't notice the Predator's head is made up of all the skulls. Great design work.

Coastal Alaskan Brown bear (Ursus arctos horribilis) working its way down the shore at low tide. I saw this bear on two occasions, and on each occasion it was dusk - almost dark, so the photo was taken at 1600 ISO using an equivalent of 1300mm lens and cropped. The bear was about 150 yds away. It was memorable because of its almost pure white ears.

I caught this bird catching a juvenile squirrel in my parent's backyard in Southern California. It was amazing to see this bird swoop down and land right on the young squirrel. The other is still in shock, probably thinking, "That could have been me". I ran to get my camera as this raptor sat and looked around for a bit before flying off.
Can anyone help identify this species of raptor? Looks like the consensus is a Cooper's Hawk - Thanks to Fool-on-the-Hill, Matt Hansen and Sciadopitys.

Adriana designed and build plastic predator excluders to test them for temperature and effectiveness. They are also easier for terrapin researchers to build and carry out into the field than the traditional chicken wire excluder.
