This creation is based on my own photograph of a female sparrowhawk (Accipiter nisus), taken seven years ago, in Essex. She was a mighty fine predator. This image inspired me, today, to play with colour. Thank you for taking time to view it. NB: Dave Culley, who’s extremely knowledgeable on all things sparrowhawk, ‘favourited’ my original photo, on which this art is based. He was also very generous in sharing his knowledge with me.

This is probably one Predator that I've been looking forward to the most.
Ever since it was seen at SDCC earlier in the year, this has been very highly anticipated. Not only is the contrast of the reddish skin and nearly black armor coloring amazing but the mask is removable. It's still just the classic 87 Predator figure, only with two of the same knife holder forearms and a new mask but it's still an excellent Kenner styled tribute figure.
The new mask is very nice though thanks to the more open styled mandibles they used the snout section is a bit bigger than it seemed like it would have been. It's not bad, but with the dreadlocks being the shorter styled versions from the Predator 2 Snake Predator, it makes the snout look very long, almost like a dog wearing a Predator mask and it makes me wonder if the figure would have looked better with long dreads instead, maybe from the Shaman or Hippie Predator.
Over all though, while it turned out to not be the star of Wave 12, it's still excellent and I'm glad NECA decided to release this figure by itself rather than with the vehicle they planned to release this with.
Halloween wine and cheese. This guy was dressed up as the Predator and it was kinda cute to see him eat a small piece of bread with brie on it...
i had to pop by my local furniture store to look for some bunk beds at the weekend

The MQ-1 Predator is a medium-altitude, long-endurance, remotely piloted aircraft. The MQ-1's primary mission is interdiction and conducting armed reconnaissance against critical, perishable targets. When the MQ-1 is not actively pursuing its primary mission, it acts as the Joint Forces Air Component Commander-owned theater asset for reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition in support of the Joint Forces commander.
The Air National Guard flies the Predator out of units in CA (234th Intelligence Squadron– Beale AFB, California), ND (Fargo, ND), NY (109th Wing – Scotia, NY) and TX (147th Wing – Houston, TX).

A Coensia species fly attacking and eating another Muscid fly. These 2 flies fell out of the air and landed on my carpet. I've seen flies preying on other flies before but normally the predator is noticeably larger than the prey. Here they are quite similar in size and if anything the prey is larger then the predator.
