This is the first part of a piece in which I will be
upholstering a the stoop which sits adjacent to a bus stop, in an
attempt to draw people into the piece as inadvertent/indirect
participants while also providing a small space of comfort while
waiting. This is an attempt to further articulate the role that I feel
a lot of image based street art interventions simply recede into the
environment and go relatively unnoticed. The powerful and potentially
inflammatory gesture of the artist imposing themselves illegally is
seen almost as a parody, for most people hardly recognize the
existence of the poster. Yet the poster is setting a trap, luring
viewers in, beckoning them to sit and notice. It is an empty hunt.

There was a 'dance off' outside the ExCel Centre by 2 people in Predator costumes. They were from a group called UK Predators, who do Predator cosplay (and they look amazing!) It was very amusing!

Kenner's Aliens Vs. Predator line was the first taste in Xenomorph toys for so many people... and even though they eventually relied on repaints, they still hold up today!
Lava Planet is a repaint of Cracked Tusk, one of the first Predator toys (based on Broken Tusk from the first AvP novel). It is unclear if he's somehow made of lava, or a mutant, or perhaps this is his active camo. But either way, it's awesome!

Praying mantises are bold predators that stay still like a dead branch and act like lightening when the prey comes closer with their first pair of legs and eat the unwary creature. They are not venomous and are bold enough to get close to humans. In fact this little green mantis used the pant on my lap as vantage point to clean itself as well as checking the perimeter for prey and predators.
Note the many spiracle openings in the side of its abdomen that these insects used to breathe.
i also took a closer look and for the camera, it uses an 82mm hoya filter. good thing it wasn't a 77mm otherwise i might have "borrowed" it.
Had to creep up behind him in case he discovers me and turns invisible again :(
