Hello People :)
After all this time I’m back with a new creation . The reason you haven’t seen anything for so long is because I went through a process of rethinking the way I build . I used to mainly recreate models from Star Wars or DC comics , with a sole purpose of making the MOC look as accurate to the original as possible , sacrificing stability , playability and overall good structure most of the time . I was no longer satisfied with that . From now on my goals are to build MOCs that both look good , and also are fun , playable , contain smart play features and generally function well as toys.
The first result of this “new style” is what you see above : my own original Batmobile. While it draws inspiration from a couple of Batmobiles ( mainly Arkham Knight’s and BvS’s) it is my own spin on the classic vehicle , the Predator . It’s packed with action features : a stud shooter turret , a “hook” style spring-loaded shooter, opening trunk with all the gear you’ll need ( batarangs , a new remote batarang made from some old knight helmet feathers , extra ammo and a line launcher ) and the ability to transform between two modes , one ideal for battles and one built for speed. Also, the turret can be swapped out for a winch , which can be attached to the front spring loaded shooter and then shot - you can catch enemies’ vehicles , bring down walls , shoot it towards a roof and then climb , the possibilities are endless. I have also built a display MOC for my Batmobile - which is the first segment of what will eventually become a full Batcave . It has working lights and spins slowly - as a car turntable should.

The predator ready to pounce.
Photographing smoke art is one of the most rewarding aspects of home photography. We've all seen the wispy strands that float and glide through the air, but it's not until these trails are frozen in time do we see the true beauty and elegance of their construction.
In many images it's possible to see a subject within the smoke.
The advantage of smoke art photography is that - compared to water droplets - the patterns take longer to form so it's easier to judge when to take the shot. It's when the scene is viewed on the screen that the true diversity and uniqueness of the patterns is realised.
This was processed in Photoshop to highlight the patterns that exist within the formations.
The smoke was created by burning an incense stick against a black background. The light was a flashgun behind and below at an angle of 45° upwards with black card between the flash unit and the subject so that the light hits the smoke, but not the camera lens. The result was processed in Photoshop.

This is the last set of smoke art to be produced using this method. With so many uploads, it's difficult to create original ideas. So now I will be concentrating on a different and more creative method which I plan to have ready within a few months.

Donc voici un Tie moc Predator. Je suis assez content du résultat final. Par contre celui n’est pas fait pour jouer. Les ailes à l’arrière sont trop lourdes. C’est pour ça que je ne me suis pas fatigué à faire un support, à la longue la barre qui les tient se démonterait sous le poids. C’est pas si fragile que ça, mais faut penser à resserrer certaines liaisons des ailes quand on le remue (pour prendre des photos par exemple). Je suis assez content de mon mécanisme des ailes, il est assez ressemblant à l’originale, et sert vraiment à maintenir les ailes en position, enfin un certain temps, le poids et la gravité faisant le reste. A 4-5 futurs modifs de couleurs près, c’est fini. C’est-à-dire qu’il me maque 4 ou 5 pièces en gris claires que j’ai remplacé par du gris foncé et du noir.
Concernant le Tie predator lui-même :

Quand on touche à un Tie Legend, il y a quelques soucis à prendre en compte. Et encore ici j’ai des illustrations des comics. Mon souci c’est qu’elles diffèrent parfois, surtout concernant les images de l’arrière…
J’aime bien les Tie « pas pratique ». Et celui-là il mérite une médaille dans le genre, et même dans sa définition « officielle ».
Un point que je ne remets pas en cause, au moins sur ce Tie là, les ailes ne gênent pas la vue du pilote. Non, il y a la verrière d’origine pour ça !
Il y en a officiellement deux types. Le 1er type, c’est la verrière avec les fines ouvertures horizontales. Comme n’importe qui, qui ne soit pas aveugle, les pilotes se sont plains que ça gênait la visibilité… SANS BLAGUES ! Et y’avait pas un ingénieur pour s’en rendre compte ?!
Du coup les chefs d’escadrilles ont droit à une verrière plus classique pour y voir quelque chose. Mais pas leur escadron. Sans doute pour souligner la loyauté aveugle en l’Empire ? LOL !
Bon alors à part ça, il vole bien, hyper manœuvrable grâce à la géométrie variable de ses ailes. Il reste le chasseur spatial le plus manœuvrable de son temps, et l’un des plus rapide.
Heureusement qu’il peut les replier pour les vols atmosphériques. Parce que deux panneaux en prises directe au vent…
Dans le vide spatial OK, mais ce qui est très bête c’est que la première fois qu’on les voit en comics, c’est avec panneaux écartés dans l’atmosphère de Coruscant… De plus ça ne doit pas tellement être un Tie, plus un Fie (Four Ion Engine ou simplement un TIE pour Tetra Ion Engine ?). Tout le monde s’en foue ? Je me prends trop la tête ?
Ensuite ils sont stockés façon chauve-souris dans les Destroyer Stellaire. D’où ma question : ils les garent comment ? Marche arrière verticale ?
A l’avant il y a aussi des variantes. Concernant les 4 blasters, soit ils sont représentés en « X », soit en « + ». Le plus souvent en « + » quand même. C’est donc ce que j’ai choisi de représenter. Et puis j’avais beau avoir 2 ou 3 idées de construction en « X », c’est plus simple et plus solide en « + » comme ça.
Sinon il dispose d’un bouclier (léger) et d’un hyperdrive. Ha et le mécanisme de géométrie variable des ailes est un cauchemar à entretenir.

These "Dogs" are the favored pets of the Tracker Predator - relentless hunting beasts who travel in packs, flushing out prey and testing them. The hounds are incredibly durable, as gunfire barely seems to make them flinch unless aimed very well. Despite their hilariously awkward hornd, it is clear how they eat - the hound can dip his head underneath the biggest spikes to snack on stuff under his chin.
Tree top broke off and hit Harbor Freight Predator generator luckily struck the back edge and it tipped forward. The frame is slightly bent but the generator runs fine.
Just managed to spot this grisly scene hidden amongst the foliage, difficult to see but there's a long needle like probe coming from the insects head and into it's victim, partially hidden behind a leg.
Not sure the insect though.

Spent the day in the tent waiting for Kingfishers to show up (which they did, but only for 4-5 times) when quite late in the afternoon a Great egret came by. It was feasting on the small fishes for a while when all of a sudden I saw something bigger being pulled out of the water. The egret was tring hard to get proper hold of the bullhead, but lost it in the end. For a brief moment predator and prey came eye-to-eye.
