Walking along the jetty at Tanjung Sepat, a small fishing village about 1.5 hours south of Kuala Lumpur by car, I chanced upon a string of prayer flags strung on the jetty.
It's not a common sight - and it doesn't look local either - but I guess some fisherman somewhere must be thinking he can use all the bits of good tidings he can get.
I thought this statue looked like an angel praying, perhaps, for the people who live in the apartment behind her.
Although angels are part of a few stories appearing in the Bible, there are no biblical references to wings. We tend to think of heavenly beings with feathery wings thanks go the interpretations of Medieval artists.
Tiles with prayers at the Beomeosa Temple - South Korea
Beomeosa (Temple of the Nirvana Fish) is a head temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism in Cheongnyong-dong, Geumjeong-gu, Busan, South Korea. Built on the slopes of Geumjeongsan, it is one of the country's leading urban temples.
I drew this "mandala" in a square form, as it felt to give more stability and balance than a round one. Mandala by the very name is a circle so can't really call this a mandala.
Hope and pray that balance and stability return to all of us soon.

Developed in Rodinal (1+50) @ 21C for 12 minutes; agitation for the first 30 seconds and then 10 seconds every minute thereafter.
Head bowed in prayer and honor to those who have sacrificed for our country.
