The posters in the toilets were intended to remind people that the Furnace was there if they wanted space to come and pray. During the festivals, these turned into prayer spaces of their own!
one morning in the early May at a small remote village , the smoke come from morning prayer burning juniper .

I saw this small temple in a corner of a big hospital. Its simplicity and pearly -white appearance appealed to me.
I thought that the patients and visitors would find solace in distress in this peaceful corner .
Prayer does heal!
These usually hang outside of the temples and followers will pull on the rope, then say a prayer.

I edited myself out of this one... it was bad! But this pic was taken on Mermaid piere.... its now gone and for that we are sad.
I see angels posted at the doors of all the homes of the African women we love and admire. I see their flaming swords warding off the thugs and thieves and robbers who would prey on these vulnerable and unprotected women (and their small children). I see prayers from the shores of North America holding up those who are our sisters across the world.

i was bit lucky this visit.. when i looking for the right subject to shoot.. and this family doing their prayers...
Each fall I make prayer stones with the new Confirmants name on them to put in church.
This we use mostly for silent prayer, I tuch them when I pass by and send a small prayer to the Lord for them all or one. Other times we might use them more active in service, like coming Sunday when the confirmant themselves get to hold them in their hand and put them on the altar.
