This young Bald Eagle stretches it's wings and practices flight in the safety of it's nest. There are three young eagles in this nest, which is getting pretty crowded as they have grown as large as their parents, who continually bring food back to the nest (I've observed them bring fish, ducks and many turtles back to feed the eaglets)
Raw* photo taken while practicing for the In This Moment Tribute Concert.
*No touch-ups or re-colors have been done. This is the way Firestorm saved it.
I tried some new things on today. I LOVE this sweater. As I wasn't wearing makeup, I photoshopped my face from a pic last laptop onto my face from today.
I'll probably wear this sweater next time out, along with a denim skirt.

These are photos taken on my trip to Europe and the UK with a girl friend in October to November 2012. My camera I had then wasn't good with low light so some of these shots are not great but I have put them as my memories of the trip.
We arrived in late morning in Bath by train from London. Spent one night there and most of the next day.
Bath is the largest city in the county of Somerset, England, known for and named after its Roman-built baths.
Bath is in the valley of the River Avon, 97 miles west of London and 11 miles southeast of Bristol. The city became a World Heritage site in 1987.

Retired school principal Yvonne Knight-Carter's family land qualifies for implementation and maintenance of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Conservation Practice Firebreak (Code 394) on the forested land behind her childhood home and other neighboring family homes, near Moncks Corners, SC, on November 19, 2020. The firebreak line marks the stop of a lightning strike fire that threatened the homes and surrounding area. Today, a bulldozer refreshes and widens the firebreak to the full specification of a forester’s conservation firebreak plan.
She works with NRCS Soil Conservationist Jabril Wright worked with Ms. Knight-Carter during her application and conducts site visits to ensure state and local coordination and work is happening as planned. My wife and I drove to NAF El Centro to catch the Blue Angels practice for their first air show of the season. We were also fortunate enough to see some of the T-45 Goshawks trainers and other aircraft in town for the air show. Excellent day weather-wise. I took these photos in mid-March 2023 - what a great day!
Another practice shot with my wife, working on maternity shot. Taken at Beacon Hill Park on Canada Day.
I had the pleasure of having coffee with Mr. John Mckay, (Shoebox50) a couple weekends ago and his advice to me was lighting, lighting, lighting and keeping the shot pretty simple (John, I also used fill flash on many of the other photos I took today, as per your suggestion... made a really big difference, thank you!).
I thought the evening sun would be a good start, and I used a simple field, plain sky and an unexciting tree to back up the subject. I think it turned out decently, but I would really appreciate any insight, criticism, comments etc.. This is a type of photography that I am extremely new at so I could use some help from anyone with experience or just observation from the hobbyists eye!
Thank you very much!

My oldest child takes piano, she practices (almost daily) with encouragement ( :
I have some baggage concerning this however, when I was her age my mother also wanted me to play piano, I even took some lessons, but I just wasn't interested-I had better things to do. Well guess what hindsight is always 20/20 right, I wish I had stuck with the lessons. I do tell my daughter this "keep it up, you will be thankful one day" I wonder if she believes me! Hopefully so.
