Practical Truths includes the work of Jacob Cartwright & Nick Jordan, Jenna Collins, G. Leddington, Olivia Plender and Ben Rivers whose work is represented in film, sculpture and photography. The show explores issues around methods of documentation that attempt to grasp the dichotomy of the individual and the universal revealing various truths about human culture. The works in Practical Truths often use narratives that focus on individuals or communities that sit uncomfortably with the demands of conventional living and thereby convey a timeless sentiment that is neither defined within the present-day nor within a specific historic decade.
With the aim to contribute to the improvement of IELTS test preparation Vietnam, the British Council IELTS have been organising teacher training workshops in Vietnam for the past 8 years. Teacher training is one of our key activities that we offer to our IELTS partners to provide the teachers with insights of how IELTS are marked and practical skills of teaching IELTS in order to help the students reach their full potential in the real exam. This year we are very delighted to welcome nearly 70 teachers to the British Council's Practical Teaching Methodology Workshop - IELTS Advanced 2017, organised in Hanoi on 19th & 20th August 2017.
Với mục đích nâng cao chất lượng dạy và học IELTS tại Việt Nam, Hội đồng Anh đã và đang tổ chức các khóa tập huấn nâng cao năng lực giảng dạy dành cho giáo viên IELTS trong suốt 8 năm qua. Chương trình tập huấn dành cho giáo viên là một trong những hoạt động quan trọng dành riêng cho các đối tác IELTS của Hội đồng Anh trên khắp cả nước nhằm cung cấp cho các giáo viên những hiểu biết sâu sắc và cập nhật về bài thi IELTS, cách thức chấm điểm của bài thi IELTS và những phương pháp giảng dạy thực tiễn có thể áp dụng ngay trong lớp học, thông qua đó giúp đỡ cho các học viên của đối tác đạt được phong độ tốt nhất và số điểm IELTS mơ ước. Năm nay Hội đồng Anh rất vinh dự được chào đón gần 70 giảng viên IELTS tới từ mạng lưới các đối tác tham dự khóa tập huấn nâng cao British Council's Practical Teaching Methodology Workshop - IELTS Advanced diễn ra tại Hà Nội trong 2 ngày 19-20 tháng 8 năm 2017.

Practical Nursing students participated in the PN Pinning Ceremony on Wednesday, July 19, in the Crist Student Center at the Main Campus in Galesburg. The annual event for recent graduates is a celebration of the culmination of their efforts from their time in the program and includes the opportunity for family members and loved ones to participate in the ceremony.

Modules on the Practical Sustainability Course are taught as a mix of classroom and outdoor practical learning and field visits. Classroom teaching are a mix of lectures, participatory workshops, film, slides, discussions and activities. During the winter months we spend more time in the classroom and in the warmer months we spend more time out and about on field trips, growing and working on the green build module.
Here the students are studying the Transition movement. They are split into groups tackling different areas of community life; growing food, transport, health care etc and are working from their vision of the solutions back to where we are now. Identifying the stepping stones and fill in the gaps of how we get there. Much easier said than done, hence the concentration!
