The color scarlet is powerful
so treat it well, waste it not
as the world turns scarlet
don’t hide from your fears, face them
make life worthwhile
scarlet can be inspiring to some
or depressing for others
but whatever it may mean to you,
know it has room for change, just like life.

This photo could symbolize many things. Suppression of little people; Dictatorship; Deep State; Big Brother; oppression against women. In fact, it represents the opposite. Jan Žižka led an army of peasants, little people against the powerful Roman Empire and they were victorious due his clever military tactics for many years (1419-1434) even after his death in 1424. Equipped with simple modified farming tools, his small army demonstrated the Power of People. The monumental bronze statue was sculpted by B. Kafka in 1931-1941 and is part of Vítkov National Monument. Žižka historical heroics are always on the mind of the Czech folk, when their freedoms are in jeopardy.

was a rich and powerful ancient Greek city in Mysia.
It is located 26 kilometres (16 mi) from the modern coastline of the Aegean Sea on a promontory on the north side of the river Caicus (modern-day Bakırçay) and northwest of the modern city of Bergama, Turkey.
During the Hellenistic period, it became the capital of the Kingdom of Pergamon in 281–133 BC under the Attalid dynasty, who transformed it into one of the major cultural centres of the Greek world.
Many remains of its monuments can still be seen and especially the masterpiece of the Pergamon Altar. Pergamon was the northernmost of the seven churches of Asia cited in the New Testament Book of Revelation.

Happy Telegraph Tuesday!
This Male Pileated Woodpecker was busy for over a month hollowing out it's nest cavity in our back yard. The pair had a successful nest and we were able to watch the whole nest cycle from nest excavating to observing the three littles as they were fed from the opening. It was a spring to remember! There is a pair setting up shop this spring in the same tree! (new hole)

( their liquid lifes , catch their movements, their longs dream…)
Secretly they slip into their liquid lifes...
Behind them a powerful light catch their movements.
After this, they will come up to their longs dream...

Secretamente eles resvalam dentro das suas vidas líquidas...
Por detrás deles uma luz poderosa prende-lhes os movimentos.
Depois disto irão subir para seus longos sonhos...

Petralia Soprana is located in the heart of Sicily, in the province of Palermo.
It is the highest town in the Madonie mountains, it dominates a vast landscape that ranges from the snow-capped peaks of Etna, to the city of Enna and the mountains of Palermo and then the wide valleys and waterways of the countryside that surround it.
A center of considerable importance during the Greek and Carthaginian domination, Petralia was the first Sicilian city to be dominated by the Romans, called "Petra" it was one of the cities that supplied the largest quantities of grain to the Roman Empire.
Following the Arab conquest, its name was changed to “Batraliah” and it became a powerful defensive stronghold at the time of the Normans.
Even today the town still preserves its medieval urban structure intact, with narrow paved streets, churches and noble palaces, suggestive courtyards and linear stone houses that widen into suggestive little squares and splendid views.
In 2018 it was awarded the title of "Most beautiful village in Italy".

The wide angle lens is probably the most often used, but also misused, lens in landscape photography. It is a powerful lens, as long as it is used with forethought and for the right scenes. In my article I share with you useful tips for composing powerful wide angle images and I hope it encourages you to go out there and capture the beauty! Please feel free to read the article at this link. I hope you enjoy!
18-march-2022: the perpetual alternation between low and high tide, more marked precisely in this area where the tidal masses are channeled along the entire narrow Adriatic Sea, has greater variation in conjunction with the days around the full moon and the new moon.
It is therefore an astronomical phenomenon, but that Weather Patterns can alter, even massively.
In "my area", for most of the winter and with a peak in March, there were numerous extreme low tides and minimal high tides, this due to the over 1040hpas of adiabatic pressure and the continuous currents prevailing from the East or North-East.
So, every +1hpas over the terrestrial average pressure (gravity) value of 1013hpas corresponds to 1cm less in the level of that sea placed under the adiabatic pressure of the anticyclone and obviously vice versa in case of decreasing pressure.
The north-eastern currents tend to move the water masses towards the West and then towards the South following the anti-clockwise current that goes up the Adriatic along the Dalmatian coast and descends it from the Italian side.
All these factors "empty" the Gulf of Trieste which is also the Northernmost Spot of the entire Mediterranean Sea!
The exact opposite occurs with Low Pressure and the activation of persistent "long currents" from the South or South/East, in which cases not only Venice ends up under the surface of the Northern Adriatic Sea.
World famous for its surf which can sometimes reach 20 foot. Margaret River is quite a different place at night. You can still hear the powerful waves crashing but there was not another soul in sight. its a sight to see during the day but no less spectacular at night.
