THANK YOU FOR BEING A FRIEND, it's one thing that is helping me from going stir crazy. In our household, you can tell when things are beginning to take their toll when the Jigsaws puzzles come out. Hope your all well and staying safe .........................God bless.............................Tomx.

Brown Hare - Lepus europaeus
Norfolk
The brown hare is known for its long, black-tipped ears and fast running - it can reach speeds of 45mph when evading predators. It prefers a mosaic of farmland and woodland habitats and can often be spotted in fields.
Thought to have been introduced into the UK in Roman Times (or even earlier), the brown hare is now considered naturalised. It is most common in grassland habitats and at woodland edges, favouring a mosaic of arable fields, grasses and hedgerows. It grazes on vegetation and the bark of young trees and bushes. Brown hares do not dig burrows, but shelter in 'forms', which are shallow depressions in the ground or grass; when disturbed, they can be seen bounding across the fields, using their powerful hind legs to propel them forwards, often in a zigzag pattern. Brown hares are at their most visible in early spring when the breeding season encourages fighting or 'boxing'. Females can produce three to four litters of two to four young (known as leverets) a year.
Widespread, but absent from northern Scotland and the Scottish islands, except Islay, I'm reliably informed.
Smile on Saturday, thank you for your visits, likes and comments. They are always appreciated. Have a great weekend.
A powerful storm today caused wide spread damage in Ontario. We lost the middle section of a 50 year old willow tree. Luckily it did not fall on the cottage and all family and pets are okay. We are waiting for confirmation if a tornado touched down...it really does not matter the damage is done. The lake looked like an ocean, it was intense.
I entered this image in our National Television Station's weekly contest and I won!
The crowned eagle, also known as the African crowned eagle or the crowned hawk-eagle (Stephanoaetus coronatus) is a large bird of prey found in sub-Saharan Africa. It is considered Africa's most powerful eagle when measured in terms of the weight of its prey items.

The color scarlet is powerful
so treat it well, waste it not
as the world turns scarlet
don’t hide from your fears, face them
make life worthwhile
scarlet can be inspiring to some
or depressing for others
but whatever it may mean to you,
know it has room for change, just like life.

I wish everyone a healthy and peaceful New Year!

Great Spirit, who exists before you are in every person and every thing, we invite you to come from the distant places in our present existence.
Big Spirit of the North, giving wings in the air of water to flow and rain and snow, covering the earth with the crystal carpet over which every sound is beautiful, we stand in front of you.
Fill us with the strength to withstand the snowstorms and help us to thank you for the beauty that springs from the warm earth when it wakes up.
The Great Spirit of the East, the land that rises in the sun, you hold in your right hand the years of our lives and on the left the opportunities of every day.
Prepare us not to reject your gifts, nor to miss the hope of every day and every year.
The Great Spirit of the South, where your warm breath melts the ice around our heart, its aroma speaks from distant springs and summers, dissolved our fears, melted our hatred, burned our love with the flames of truth.
Teach us that whoever is truly powerful is also polite, whoever is wise is also merciful, whoever is brave is also compassionate.
The Great Spirit of the West, the land that the sun is tilting, with the bare mountains and lawns, bless us with the knowledge of peace and freedom. Teach us that the end is more important than the beginning, and that the sun does not reign in vain every day.
The Great Spirit of the Earth, lord of the metals and the stones, guardian of the treasures of the earth, help us to thank you daily for your countless springs that keep us alive and for your untold beauty!
As I call upon the Old Ones, I can feel the power begin to course through me. Sparks leap around me, and I grin as the magic grows. Soon I will be all powerful. Soon this demon shall have her revenge.

Tried to make this P51 mustang look as powerful as it actually is. With it's massive Rolls Royce Merlin engine. 27 Liters V12... Simply an amazing machine.
I tried to create this whitebox effect. I got a couple of more shots coming up from this amazing aircraft in the same style!

Sea lions are pinnipeds characterized by external ear flaps, long foreflippers, the ability to walk on all fours, short, thick hair, and a big chest and belly. Together with the fur seals, they comprise the family Otariidae, eared seals, which contains six extant and one extinct species (the Japanese sea lion) in five genera. Their range extends from the subarctic to tropical waters of the global ocean in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, with the notable exception of the northern Atlantic Ocean. They have an average lifespan of 20–30 years. A male California sea lion weighs on average about 300 kg (660 lb) and is about 2.4 m (8 ft) long, while the female sea lion weighs 100 kg (220 lb) and is 1.8 m (6 ft) long. The largest sea lion is Steller's sea lion, which can weigh 1,000 kg (2,200 lb) and grow to a length of 3.0 m (10 ft). Sea lions consume large quantities of food at a time and are known to eat about 5–8% of their body weight (about 6.8–15.9 kg (15–35 lb)) at a single feeding. Sea lions can move around 16 knots (30 km/h; 18 mph) in water and at their fastest they can reach a speed of about 30 knots (56 km/h; 35 mph). Three species, the Australian sea lion, the Galápagos sea lion and the New Zealand sea lion, are listed as endangered. 61523
The Great Horned Owl – large, powerful, and long-lived – is adapted by its anatomy, physiology, and behavior to survive in any climate but arctic-alpine regions. Equally at home in desert, grassland, suburban, and forest habitats, north to the tree line, it has a diverse prey base and the most extensive range with the most variation in nesting sites of any American owl. This one was at Macuquinho Lodge and was a real treat to see it during the day!
Have a Peaceful weekend!

Dettifoss is Europe's most powerful waterfall. It is only 45 metres tall and 100 metres wide. Its power lies in its volume discharge, with an average flow rate of 193 cubic metres per second. I hope the water's immense power comes through!

Wednesday night's sunset....I was prepping the pool for closure this upcoming weekend while keeping an eye on the sky. It got to about 7PM and I figured we might get a good one. It was windy this evening so a reflection with a pond was out of the question with too much water movement. So I had this shot that I imagined a couple weeks back that I would use when I have little time to decide where to go. So I packed my gear and headed to this location and was not disappointed with the sunset. It was a little weird standing under these power lines for about 45 minutes listening to the sizzle and pop when that much electricity flows through these lines.
Yes..... it was that bright with the yellows and oranges.
Since autumn is very short in Sweden, I decided to go on a hike in the woods with some friends along the Sormlandsleden. At some point we passed by this lake named Skirsjon. Since the sky was totally cloudy I thought a long-exposure could be nice.
The crevalle jack (Caranx hippos), also known as the common jack, black-tailed trevally, couvalli jack, black cavalli, jack crevale or yellow cavalli, is a common species of large marine fish classified within the jack family, Carangidae. The crevalle jack is distributed across the tropical and temperate waters of the Atlantic Ocean, ranging from Nova Scotia, Canada to Uruguay in the west Atlantic and Portugal to Angola in the east Atlantic, including the Mediterranean Sea. It is distinguishable from similar species by its deep body, fin colouration and a host of more detailed anatomical features, including fin ray and lateral line scale counts. It is one of the largest fish in the genus Caranx, growing to a maximum known length of 124 cm and a weight of 32 kg, although is rare at lengths greater than 60 cm. The crevalle jack inhabits both inshore and offshore waters to depths of around 350 m, predominantly over reefs, bays, lagoons and occasionally estuaries. Young fish dispersed north by currents in the eastern Atlantic are known to migrate back to more tropical waters before the onset of winter; however, if the fish fail to migrate, mass mortalities occur as the temperature falls below the species' tolerance limits. The crevalle jack is a powerful, predatory fish, with extensive studies showing the species consumes a variety of small fish, with invertebrates such as prawns, shrimps, crabs, molluscs and cephalopods also of minor importance. 24642
