this female juvenile is one of 3 youngsters that were exploring the area around the nest in a large forest in July.
They did not really hide their presence and their attacks were too clumsy to be successfull. As they were still fed by the parents they had time to fine tune their hunting skills.
This female juvenile looked already powerful and her talons were very impressive.
I did not see an adult.

The crowned eagle, also known as the African crowned eagle or the crowned hawk-eagle (Stephanoaetus coronatus) is a large bird of prey found in sub-Saharan Africa. It is considered Africa's most powerful eagle when measured in terms of the weight of its prey items.

The elegant Great Egret is a dazzling sight in many a North American wetlands. Slightly smaller and more svelte than a Great Blue Heron, these are still large birds with impressive wingspans.
They hunt in classic heron fashion, standing immobile or wading through wetlands to capture fish with a deadly jab of their yellow bill.
Great Egrets were hunted nearly to extinction for their plumes in the late nineteenth century, sparking conservation movements and some of the first laws to protect birds. The Great Egret is the symbol of the National Audubon Society, one of the oldest environmental organizations in North America. Audubon was founded to protect birds from being killed for their feathers.
Not all young that hatch survive the nestling period. Aggression among nestlings is common and large chicks frequently kill their smaller siblings. This behavior, known as siblicide, is not uncommon among birds such as hawks, owls, and herons, and is often a result of poor breeding conditions in a given year.
Great Egrets fly slowly but powerfully: with just two wing-beats per second their cruising speed is around 25 miles an hour.
The oldest known Great Egret was 22 years, 10 months old and was banded in Ohio.

"Mistaya Canyon in Banff National Park is a scenic gem on the Icefields Parkway. Sculpted by the rushing water of the Mistaya River, which originates from Peyto Lake to the southeast, this deep slot canyon features curvy limestone walls and eroded pothole depressions."
This photo captured the mighty Mistaya River, with its swirling currents smoothly eroding the limestone, where it plunged down the canyon.

( their liquid lifes , catch their movements, their longs dream…)
Secretly they slip into their liquid lifes...
Behind them a powerful light catch their movements.
After this, they will come up to their longs dream...

Secretamente eles resvalam dentro das suas vidas líquidas...
Por detrás deles uma luz poderosa prende-lhes os movimentos.
Depois disto irão subir para seus longos sonhos...

A majestic and powerful eagle and one of the larger raptors found in the country. A full grown adult eagle maybe around 80-90 cms tall with a wingspan of around ~6-8 feet. These weigh around 3-4.5 kgs - maybe 50-60% heavier than a Greater Spotted Eagle which is the common large raptor we see in our state..
We sighted 4 of them in a sq km area, roosting and waiting for the sun to heat up the place. I found them impressive looking, - majestic, fearless and with a muscular / bouncer kind of look. The birds probably had roosted on these mounds the whole night. The birds are scavengers and sometimes claim kill from other birds like the Falcons, harriers etc..., but also hunt reptiles, mammals like Fox, the young ones of Deer/ Antelopes, Ducks and Geese. They have few natural enemies, but I suspect Wolves could take these birds down - and that area has a few wolves.
These are national birds of Kazakhstan and are migratory to India during winters. They are very rare in my state, but common in the place I visited.
Thanks in advance for your wonderful feedback and likes.

Part 3 of 3 of my Ancient Egypt series.
The title is known to be given during the Old Kingdom of Egypt, and was at that point very powerful and prestigious. The mummies of the priestesses testify that they were decorated with a religious tattoo, covering the stomach around the area of the uterus. After the Middle Kingdom of Egypt, the title was often irregularly awarded the women of the royal family, typically princesses.
The rise, fall & extinction of the priestesses of Hathor are seen in ancient Egyptian culture. The women who wanted to become socially powerful usually took refuge in religion & took the charge of priesthood.
Ancient Egyptian society took women's empowerment much more loosely than ancient Greece & ancient Rome. There women were given the right to their own property. However, after becoming a priestess, a woman is seen not only as an important figure in ancient Egyptian society, but also a living symbol of divinity.
The priestesses of Hathor were called hm ntr hthr & they were one of the most respected people in Egypt. But After the Middle Kingdom of Egypt, the title was often irregularly awarded only to the women of the royal family, typically princesses. This includes the daughter of Ramesses II. At one time their names were completely erased from history.
Egyptologysts have shown that in early days only women of aristocratic lineage could be appointed to the priesthood of Hathor. They were called Badak-Purohit or God's Consort (Hmt nTr). They performed dances and songs during the sacred rites. Because of their menstruation and ability to give child-birth, they were considered unholy, which is why they could not perform sacred duties like dressing up the sacred image of deity.

Dettifoss is Europe's most powerful waterfall. It is only 45 metres tall and 100 metres wide. Its power lies in its volume discharge, with an average flow rate of 193 cubic metres per second. I hope the water's immense power comes through!
