My first visit to MRL in 2015 I remembered seeing a flame cut whistle post on the mainline somewhere east of Garrison. We (Welch and I) had places to be seeing as we were racing towards Helena to get the local with an SD45 leader and I didn't remember seeing another one. I didn't prioritize it but I didn't forget it. So, since my experience on MRL's branch lines was nonexistent until this spring I had assumed that was a one-off. Imagine my surprise as I arrived at Sappington and saw this beauty!

Met up with Jed Langdon for an evening shoot on Dartmoor whilst down Devon. A big thanks to Jed for showing me some local hotspots that day.

Day 16 of lockdown.
Bexhill has a museum and I'm ashamed to say that in the 25 years I've lived here, I've only visited twice.
A "Posted: No Trespassing" sign I saw on telephone pole near a field in upstate New York a week or so ago. The whole thing turned out quite dramatic, I think.

I spotted these posts at Ardersier on Saturday and thought they would look better in warmer light so popped down to the beach last night at sunset. This was shot using an ND 4 soft grad filter.
Thank you all for your comments and faves!

Canada Day evening. We were supposed to get closer to downtown to watch the fireworks but with the storm front moving in we didn't leave on time to do that. At the end we've decided to just go to the Science Park and watch the show from one of the hills. We caught the end of the sunset, not very spectacular, since the clouds were covering most of the western sky and waited for few minutes before the show has started. The park is located pretty far away from downtown, but we were able to see all of the biggest fireworks that are shot high up. Afterwords I could not resist taking a few shots of the industrial complex at night..

In the small village of Tintagel is a 14th-century stone house, built to the plan of a medieval manor house. It is called "The Old Post Office", The name dates from the Victorian period when it briefly held a licence to be the letter receiving station for the district. The National Trust has restored it to this condition. It was among the early acquisitions of the Trust (1903)
