The Post Office Palace was built (architect H.Schoede) and inaugurated in 1893 on 16 October.
The complex consists of 3 buildings. In the centre there is a two floor post office with attic, on both sides of it, two one-floor buildings: one of them was a warehouse and stables, while the other one is meant for keeping of the carriages.
The interior of the hall survived unchanged until now. In the Post Office tower an ancient carillon was installed (13 November 1987). The instrument, constructed and installed according to Peter Schilling‘s project by masters of Schilling bell foundry in Apolda (Germany).
Soggy twine on a post. I thought these wires may have been electrified, and on this rainy day I was not about to test my theory.

Without much building experience i realized that this was going to be difficult...
But after 3 months of on and off work mixed with countless BL orders it finally came together

So this build is based years into the biopocalypse when nature has started taking back the streets and the cities are growing thick with plant life!
The main building on the right has removable floors and the left building is a burned out shell from the car wreckage!

After CN 596 derailed here on Wednesday evening, crews are working to reopen the western end of Port of Montreal trackage the next day.
Our visit to Ghent was, unsurprisingly, filled with rain. But it still did not stop my wife and I from getting out an enjoying the historic center of town, Here is the old post office, now a hotel - just lovely!

Phnom Penh’s Post Office Square was made famous by the film City of Ghosts, directed by Matt Dillon. The Post Office, has been in continual operation since 1890 except for the period when the Khmer Rouge blew up the central bank, banned money and emptied Phnom Penh of people. It was restored and fully reopened in 2004, fronts a small square on Street 13 (really just a widening of the road) surrounded by other examples of colonial architecture in various states of upkeep. Historically, this area was central to the French Quarter, where the business of administering and financing the territory was conducted.
Captured early in the morning before the street was full of parked cars and traffic. Out of curiosity I'm downloading this move which was made over 10 years. Seems like a number of reviewers are critical just because Matt is all over it....

Cute Post Alert!
Morning guys! Another post from my visit to the fox cubs from a couple of weeks back with my buddy Dan.
There is an area of the graveyard which is beautifully backlit during golden hour and we took full advantage of this by lying on the floor and waiting for the cubs to come out and play. This little guy was ever so obliging!
I hope you are enjoying seeing a variety of my wildlife/people and landscape shots! I love the variety of shooting many genres and getting involved in so many aspects of photography!
