Happy New Year to you all!

I'm pleased we made it to 2013 without the world ending.

Another image from my attempts at capturing water droplets. I used coloured straws for the backdrop this time and applied a colour negative filter in processing. To my eye I envisage a neon landscape within the droplet, a post apocalyptic seascape if you like.

Since January 1st 2010, I have been taking and uploading one square picture each day.

Dr Manu Sasidharan is a post-doc researching transport infrastructure as an enabler to socioeconomic development.

For the duration of Biennale 2019, Post hoc transmits an electronic reading of millions of lost, invisible and extinct entities. The lists are announced from an echo-free chamber located in one wing of Palazzina Canonica. From the chamber the words are transmitted to several six-metre tall tree cell towers. Line by line, the vast lexicon of the bygone can be heard in proximity to each tree, where the lists can also be streamed on a handheld device.

The enormous scale of Post hoc is only visible at the emptied library located on the second floor of the Palazzina, where the lists are being printed in sync with the broadcasts. Even here, the printed contents become increasingly difficult to view as the paper unfurls about the space over time.

another fantastic Friday with this male Osprey, he is so chilled, just sits about preening & stretching...

Shot a lovely wedding in Virginia Beach followed by their "couple's:" portrait session down at Sandbridge.

And whenever you're down at Sandbridge, you don't let sunsets go to waste. Even if they're just so so like it was this night. The better colors were to the east this night.
