I snapped this photo with my Canon Rebel T5. The Post Rock Motel is located at 1907 E. KS-18 in Lincoln, Kansas. The motel was established in 1951, according to the sign. Lincoln is in "Post Rock Country." The limestone fences posts dot the edges of pastures in the region.

I'm still struggling with my camera. I found a good backdrop (a pair of hollow core sliding closet doors) but I haven't found the right lighting to get crisp pictures yet. This is the best of the batch I took this morning. 106 studs long, she just barely makes the cut.

A fingerpost (sometimes referred to as a guide post) is a traditional type of sign post primarily used in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland,[1] consisting of a post with one or more arms, known as fingers, pointing in the direction of travel to places named on the fingers. The posts have traditionally been made from cast iron or wood, with poles painted in black, white or grey and fingers with black letters on a white background, often including distance information in miles. They are also used to mark the beginning of a footpath, bridleway, or similar public path..

Managed some post-injury bests with free weights tonight. A set of bench presses of 185 pounds and a set of barbell curls with 70 pounds. Yeah, those used to be warm up weights but it's a lot of progress since last June.

Kind of an out-of-the-way, rural post office in Eastern Colorado.

reminder of the great san francisco earthquake. not pretty, but i liked the variety of brickwork and geometrical shapes.

Framed quite nicely by a tree that has even seen fit to mimic the angle of the power car nose, 43277 'Safety Task Force' passes through Ollerton and adds a burst of sunshine as it makes for the old colliery site.

No doubt the post would have carried a ubiquitous cast iron warning sign of some description in days gone by...I wonder if it graces someone's wall nowadays?

Shot a lovely wedding in Virginia Beach followed by their "couple's:" portrait session down at Sandbridge.

And whenever you're down at Sandbridge, you don't let sunsets go to waste. Even if they're just so so like it was this night. The better colors were to the east this night.
