This lady cardinal seems indignant about my taking her picture while she is in such a ragged condition. Can't really blame her.
Molting or moulting is a natural and necessary feather replacement for birds. It looks like her skin under the feathers is red.
This old tug, The Gary, has seen better days. It's been sitting in this little marina on Lake Guntersville for a long time. I chose to do this in sepia to convey a little of the age and dilapidation of this old workhorse.
This is the very first snow... October the fourth, getting excited
Now playing : "Poor Leno" (Röyksopp's Istanbul Forever Take)
Bonkers on the floor this morning (with a little bit of breakfast left on his lips). He is not doing very well. If he doesn't eat very much, we can't give him insulin (as what happened this morning); this may lead to a diabetic shock. If we give him insulin even if he doesn't eat, he'll get hypoglycemic shock (which Nobuo had in 2015 and was able to recover from). That, along with rapidly failing health left Bonkers very tired and lethargic. (He did manage to eat some breakfast, however - just not enough.)

(lost or left behind, sat in the tree and cried for over an hour 😓 . . . I'm pretty sure s/he was trying to hide behind the branch, hoping I couldn't see him/her! 😄)
Dog from an animal shelter.
Please have a look to my album with more pics from animals woho live in an animal shelter.
A good LEGO friend of mine just happened to have a spare Kevin Hinkle minifigure, and decided to give it to me. The other personalised minifigures weren't too pleased, though.

Sign of the times of Covid-19, it did take away from the atmosphere.

De Gannes Property - Michel de Gannes de Falaise (1702-1752) held a commission in the colonial troops. Born to a military family at Port Royal in Acadia, he trained in Quebec but saw much of his service here alongside military in-laws and cousins. Twice during 1744, de Gannes was off making war in British-held Acadia, leaving this house to his wife Elisabeth de Catalogne and six children. They had a seventh child later, 5 daughters and 2 sons in total.
He also had a daughter with Marie-Anne Carrerot, his mistress before he got married.
A insulating layer of Boston boards conceals the simple log walls of Michel de Gannes’ house as well as other homes of people with noble names. Rich and poor people lived close together in the eighteenth century, the elite never doubted their superiority and felt no need to be isolated from lesser folk. Workmen and clerks laboured and sometimes lived in the nearby storehouses. Tailors and wig makers made their rounds to the houses and nearly every household included at least one servant.
The lives of servants hide from scrutiny. One slave won freedom, married and acquired land; labourer's and fishermen's daughters might serve until they saved a dowry and could marry and raise a family, but many servants lived plain and silent lives, dependent on the families they served. In a little house like this one, a domestic would have been lucky to get a bed in the attic — some servants simply curled up in a corner of the kitchen. Despite their obscurity the presence of servants and working people throughout the community was important in that time.
Looking at all the offerings in the temple but couldn't reach, and was then played by the local kids.......

Porno for Pyros
The ginger boy wandered into the black kitty's territory and is getting told off. Oatmeal (as we call him) is used to other cats being friendly, so he's rather taken aback by the young tom's aggression.
Great day being Ann. Started the day in casual mode (unfortunately no photo) skinny jeans and blouse. So off to the supermarket for the big food shop. Also picked up this new dress I ordered from Argos!! big ques, seemed to take ages before we were served and I was only there to collect my internet order. Then lunch at Zizzi, again packed out. Mad dash home to get ready for guests arriving for drinks before going out to watch the mach in the pub. The new dress is a dream to wear, it's navy if you where wondering. As it was so warm we all sat out in the garden, until it was time to go. We had by now quite a bit to drink and poor Jessica was driving. The pub was not as busy as we thought it would be, but just before the game started more came in. Great night, so funny and sooo much more drink. Jess dropped us back home safe, if a little drunk........ Should I be posting this in such a state?
Just another thing ........Hick!
I'm going to bed.......
