Poor thing is not enjoying the rain.

Well, I'm quite obviously still no portrait-photographer and this lens isn't close to what anyone would consider sharp... and yet, I really like the look it creates. There could be more interesting subjects for sure… perhaps one day, who knows.

Oh, by the way: that lens is likely somewhere between 80 and 100 years old - it‘s really hard to say for sure, but I‘m trying to find out.

Shot with a Projection Optics "Super-Lite 3 3/4 inch" (projection) lens on a Canon EOS R5.

A lone backpack and cardboard mat with a large "Corn Flakes" box on the opposing side define some poor soul's home for the night. Yet the church, warm and comfortable, sits there all locked up hoping God is looking the other way. Maybe "Where the Doors are Locked" would be better.

Spring thaw begins in Gilford, NH. Pictured is Poor Farm Brook.

A couple of walkers nearing the Cheviot Hill summit in very poor visibility. It was misty, drizzly and windy.. I'm not keen on constructed paths up hills but up here the flagstones are a blessing in the peat (and mist).

She's looking her age, hope they don't tear her down.

No one around to talk to, not even the psychiatrist.

Just some fun with the new "Jagged Line" torso, as I've been referring to it.

This poor little sparrow has a tick, I supposed it got it in the nest, I hope it will be okay, I know the tick can be safely removed, but I haven't seen it again since taking this shot

Poor is the man who cannot share his wealth with family or friends. Poor is the man who has no love, joy and laughter in his house.

Many thanks to @Xymion for his support and advice!

Crappy Photoshop edit but I loved the effect of my flash light. It looks like Ursula takes Ariels voice. :D

Applicable in this case, as our Rolo was at the Vet's office earlier this week. An ear infection has (sort-of) sidelined him, so we thought it best to let him sleep it off.

The saying to "let sleeping dogs lie" is used as a way to not talk about things which have caused problems in the past, or to not try to change a situation because you might cause problems. The worst phrase in his world: Clean your ears?

Waking poor buddy just wouldn't be right!

You can imagine Visby away on the horizon.

Walk for shot! They are poor but full of life.

Happy to be photographed.

i didn't have any fun, but i just feel sad to see it....

Had an appointment with Charlie at the workshop.

Booked it like two months ago and said to Charlie then that "I bet you that it will rain that day and I will have to force Doris outta the rain to drive the three miles to you."

I was right, of course.

One of the many victims from MadPea's UNIA.

This poor fellow met his fate in one of the many stunning dream scenes you will traverse through while playing the game.

This scene is called The Drowning, and was made in collaboration with Bryn Oh.

If you haven't explored UNIA yet you're missing out.

How to Play

Poor teddy's been a bit down on his luck lately.

Most of us have had, at some time in our lives, that feeling of being lonely and isolated - despite being surrounded by family & friends.

This image is dedicated to those 'thorny' moments . . .

Robert Frank.

Et comme disait Brassaï : “Chance is always there. We all use it. The difference is a poor photographer meets chance one out of a hundred times and a good photographer meets chance all the time.”

Unfortunately Kaiser had make a visit to the vet on Tuesday, as he has lost alot of weight and is eating very little. He is about 16 years old and it is confirmed he has internal problems. We are keeping a close eye on him and hoping his medicine will work wonders.

Aerial view of Iguazu Falls, Argentina and Brazil Border.

Upon seeing Iguazu, the United States' First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt reportedly exclaimed "Poor Niagara!".

As you can see, unlike Niagara Falls, the scenic beauty of this place has been largely preserved.

A drab-looking sky hangs over South Florida on the morning of November 2, 2023, as I hold my ground deep in the weeds by Control Point HARDY at Miami Gardens, FL; reports of a southbound CSX freight move on the RTA corridor in daylight had yet again prompted me to venture out to take my stake in documenting it. As with any outing to the RTA, TriRail commuter traffic would put some pixels to use before M45301 would show.

TriRail P62302 would show itself first, shooting southbound on track 2 under HARDY’s south signal gantry at 12:31. A crusted #TRCX823 [BLPH], having been victim to poor maintenance to its paint job for nine years, takes charge of its three-car BBL set towards its next station stop at Golden Glades, destined to terminate at the Miami Intermodal Center. Hopefully in due time, it’ll receive the new TriRail colors along with the rest of the fleet… For now, the weather compliments its crummy look.

Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio; a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy; he hath borne me on his back a thousand times; and now, how abhorred in my imagination it is! My gorge rises at it. Here hung those lips that I have kissed I know not how oft. Where be your gibes now?
