Just a few new buttons...Still lovin' that fancy rose. And a shout-out again to Judith Skinner for her wonderful invention - the Skinner Blend.
The big ones are about 3 or 4 inches across.
I love having a stash of tiny to large polymer clay tiles. Sometimes I chop the large ones into smaller ones to use for mosaics. Usually they live in a box for a while until just the right project comes along. Making a tile is a great way to test out a new technique or texture. The two in back were made with Victoria James Art texture sheets. The one in front was made with a real japanese maple leaf.
For my inspiration for this tiny series, see my blog: janiceabarbanel.blogspot.com/2010/08/out-of-studio-wednes...
Large round geometric pendant. I used Premo , but mixed the colours to suit my taste. Strung on a very simple neck wire.
I used the polymer clay texture plate on the upper left to imprint the patterns in the clay pendants and Christmas tree below.

The top arrangement is the one I had planed for my picture and would only require 24 slices of cane. However, the arrangement below is more appealing but will require 40 slices. I can just about make it.
A simple cuff built on a brass blank. If you notice a little inspiration here from Alice Stroppel, that's no accident.
Hopefully you can see the little bumps inside the cuff. I add those and call them "comfort bumps" - to help create air flow around the cuff when it's worn and keep the sweating to a minimum.
The technique for making the polymer clay parts is described in my tutorial Fantastic Filigree, and making of the sterling silver parts is covered in DIY Bezels for Polymer Clay. Both can be found in my etsy shop, www.etsy.com/shop/PolymerClayTutorials
