polymer clay and coton cord necklace
I wanted to create a necklace based on my zipper bangles, this was one of my ideas : )
From a series of layered, textured polymer clay pendants I've been working on. This one was done as a sample for the class I'm teaching at ArtBliss in Washington, DC in September 2011.

A little sampling of my teapot beads. They're about the size of a jelly-bean. All the spout-joins and handles have been re-enforced with a tiny drop of liquid polymer. These babies are teeny, but solid.
Polymer clay-pendant made at the kathleen dustin workshop i attended in october....What a great experience!

Getting ready for the first show of the year - a bead show. I usually let my customers decide how to use these sets. I'll need to keep making these right up to show time. I musn't forget to credit Donna Kato and her graded stripe - a cane I've been making for years now. It's so versatile!
polymer clay and cotton cord.
more hollow bead forms made using the boiled sweet technique.
these were made using pear drops, i just love the shape of these beads!
the cord was far to large for the gold spacer beads (i didnt want to change that part of the design as i really like the way they fit partly into the eyelets. i feel it 'finishes' the beads nicely) so i had to work out how to string a necklace using two differantstrings which i hadnt tried before (there is a heck of a lot going on inside those little black beads lol) but its worked well and im really pleased with this piece :)

I can never have enough buttons --- It seems like I make them day and night.
The biggest one is about 4" long. I use these on my handmade bags and also sell them separately at my art fairs.
These are real eggs covered with polymer clay. Before covering the egg, two holes are drilled (carefully!) on each end of the eggshell, then an 'egg syringe' is used to siphon out the contents. Soapy water is squirted into the egg to clean it out..Once the egg has been 'prepped', it is covered with clay, and baked.
Same thing here.
Also still fussing with the settings on my little camera to get the best photo. A photgrapher, I am not...Shoulda put the little screws back in for the photos.

An assortment of polymer clay pendants I made with various inclusions. The top pendant features a beautiful stone of fossilized coral and a frosted glass gem. The center two feature iridescent teardrop crystals and glass gems and the bottom piece is made with a gorgeous Iron tiger's eye cab.
This fun and colorful necklace is made from hand sculpted and painted polymer beads, all made by myself. Like all of my hand painted beads, they have been sealed with multiple coats of a durable, high quality varnish. It closes with a button toggle clasp made with metallic seed beads, which are also used as spacers throughout the necklace. It is all strung on waxed cotton cord.
polymer clay sculptures on aluminium armature.
The cloth-like design made using a black and white plaid cane.
Each one is about 30 cm long and has a real zipper in its back.
Polymer covered bottle. I've seen other polymer artists cover bottles with polymer and I thought I'd give it a try.
In the spirit of the season, I decided to use up my 'orphan' beads and create 12 earring sets.

polymer clay and glass.
a birthday gift for a knitting mad college.
i wanted to try to reduce the distortion that occurs when wrapping a textured 'sheet' around an object so i built rows of stitches directly onto the glass candle holder. through the stitches didnt stretch and warp its much easier to get straight 'stitches' when creating a flat sheet.
