If you love integral film and want to see it come back - then you really need to see this - The Impossible Project. Roll on 2010! :D
Pola No 68.
The last of the Polas taken at Dungeness, during our Kent/East Sussex break at the end of the summer...
For information on the 'headland' area of Dungeness look here, but if you want to know about Dungeness B, the nuclear power station sited on the headland, then look here.
Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera Model 1 + Expired 600 Film + ND Filter.
Pola No 63.
The last of the Polas taken during our Kent/East Sussex break at the end of last summer...this was accidentally under-exposed at the time I took the shot, and at first I rejected it as 'failed'. With a little bit of extra 'cooking' down my jumper though, it soon decided what it would be. In the event, I prefer this one better than the more 'correctly exposed' Pola No 64 version.

many of you know i love to search
out brick walls as backdrops for
my kid's portraits. hubby came up
with the idea to take this BAM!
shot against one of my favorite
murals downtown.
polaroid is addictive for sure. been brooding
over the loss of images for our theme this
week (dripping). i inadvertently deleted them
when i reformatted my SD card before they were
uploaded onto the computer. ARRGGHHH!
getting to know paula and her quirks has
taken my mind off of all that.
i'm grateful for that.

Balanced on a Bridge Railing + Remote Shutter Release.
Pola No 27 accompanies this one, which I uploaded just before I became carried away with jumping shots to bring in the New Year with. ;)
In the Summer, I was lucky enough to be able to go for a Pola Stroll with Lady Vervaine. I was struggling to gain confidence with my newly acquired sx-70, and the whole business of ND filters, pack filters and exposure with that 600 film had rather taken over the initial fun and anticipation I had experienced.
Wandering around the Barbican late at night, watching some serious Holga/Tripod/Bulb action, and absorbing the general enthusiasm of a shared experience gave me just the kick start I needed. Thanks Lady Vervaine! :)

Mossy Creek Bridge built in 1920 near Cottage Grove, OR. Photographed with a Polaroid Land Camera, The 800 using Kodak T-Max 100 4X5 film that expired 08/1997. The film was developed in Beerenol (Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer).
The 4X5 film fits perfectly in the camera for one shot, then you need a changing bag or dark room to put another sheet in. The camera makes the nice curved framed corners on the photo.
Looks a bit sunset-y but really it got a bit of light while I was fumbling it into a pocket after it came out of the camera.

I consider it essential that the photographer should do his own printing and enlarging. The final effect of the finished print depends so much on these operations. Bill Brandt
i never thought i would do this with 5x4 sheet film, but hey in for a penny etc. More a record of the moment than anything else.
