It's been The Shins all week, but it ended with 2-3 hours of messing around with ideas and cameras.
This weekend helped me relieve so much stress, purely by creating art. I once read a book which talked about how people with hemochromatosis give blood often, in order to relieve iron build-up in their bloodstream. I often don't think physical predicaments are so different from the mental ones.

aka "the accidental diptych". my polaroid 250 is a bit temperamental but I like the way this turned out.
(Wednesday, 31 March 2010) The fog lifted and the clouds parted this afternoon, so brought along my Polaroid Square Shooter 2 while I ran errands. It was the perfect opportunity to get another shot of the Di Rienzo Brothers truck.

- measures 7.5 x 5.5 x 2.5 closed. When open, the bellows extend out 4 inches.
My first punk-rock identity was as straight edge around the age of thirteen. I kept my edge until I was twenty-three. To this day I have never, ever done drugs, but that said, I would still like to see pot-trains rolling through Skagit County! It is funny to me to think that people now complain about the odor of coal and diesel... just think about the stench of that sticky-icky rolling by!

It was tricky finding the right place to stand for this one: I wanted to "fill the frame" as much as possible, but also make sure I was well out of the way of her cantering round. And then there was trying to gauge just how much she was going to cut the corner by; the answer: a lot more than I expected!
(But I still really like this)
