I'm not really sure what these are called but the texture on them is so rough that if you step on one, you can feel it through your shoe. They are sticky too and can make you bleed. I hate them because they can get stuck in your tires as well.
This was captured after a long hard rain storm that lasted for 3 days straight, with lots of flooding around the town, many lost homes, cars, and jobs due to the flooding, we were all happy to see that sun come out on the 3rd day...
A 'ladder of turnouts on a gradient is always going to result in cross level compromises. The use of a telephoto lens makes the track look far worse than it really is.

Lowlands Festival celebrated it's 25th birthday in style. Sold out, a rearranged terrain and more freedom then previous editions. As a night reporter for 3voor12, I didn't get to see a whole lot of the day program and didn't take as much pictures as previous editions. Still, here's a bunch.

This chart illustrates the Columbus Crew's points chase over the last three seasons - plotting the team's point total after each game of the season.
Plotting team performance in this fashion allows observers to quickly identify periods of rich and poor form - particularly in the last two seasons as the team suffered strings of poor results late.

Settlement points with population estimates are used in GRUMP as a guide tovreallocation of population from rural areas to urban extents defined by stable night-time lights. The level of detail available in the settlement points database varies by country.

Ingredients:
- Chicken Breast (I used one breast and it made two mushrooms)
- Portobello Mushroom (stem chopped off and gills cleaned out)
- EVOO (a few teaspoons)
- Artichoke Tapenade (I found this at Trader Joe's)
Directions:
- Seasoned chicken breast with salt and pepper and then grilled on my George Foreman
- covered mushrooms in Evoo
- Cut up chicken and mix with a few spoonfuls of Artichoke Tapenade
- Fill mushrooms with mixture
- Bake Mushrooms in oven at 350 for appx. 10-15 minutes
Ran this through the recipe builder and it was 5 points for each mushroom

These stone points are on a tramway that runs acoss the moor at Haytor. The tramway was built to carry granite from the Haytor quarries. London Bridge was built of granite from here.
The carts were horse drawn, made possible by the fact that it was downhill all the way. The granite rails often used to break, but there was plenty more granite around for replacements.
Flip view of the only two points I have found in the Austin area, both found around 1976-77. The tiny point on the left is a true arrowhead, whereas the larger point on the right is a spear point and looks reworked.
