Lee Vining Canyon, Mono County. At the back of the canyon sits a 90+ year old powerhouse owned by Southern California Edison. On display is the pelton wheel from the turbine that turned the generator for some 47 years, from the 1920s into the '60s. Aside from the purely technical aspect of the mechanical nature of this water-driven equipment, there is the purely aesthetic aspect of the manufactured metal. The 11 metre high Origin sculpture overlooks the city from Cavehill Country Park and is visible from a number of different points throughout Belfast.
I thought I would show the area I was photographing..I would say Wasaga Beach is somewhere around 30 miles from where I was standing and Collingwood would be in the vicinity of 20 miles.
