Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a blue day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Looking Close on Friday is : pencil points ! Yes, there is an exclamation point since this theme deserve it ! I love pencils and I love pencils points !
While searching for the perfect pencil points, I stumbled upon this red flying pencil, trying to kiss his old grey lover… So I grabbed my camera and took a picture just before the whole scene disappeared and the red pencil flied away in a blink of an eye…The moral of this story is dont blink or you might miss something! And other moral; dont drink alcohol while taking pictures or you might see some stuff that doesn’t make sense…
I wish you all a beautiful day !! See you later my friends !!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !!
A multi-functional spatial concept combined with an aesthetically
impressive architecture and an ecologically well thought out infrastructure creates the ideal conditions for events for from 40 to 4,000 guests.

...that we are in the midst of climate change, we notice from the weather, which is becoming more and more extreme. The conversion is still taking place gradually and is manageable for us. But then tipping points can suddenly appear.
A single tipping point can set off an entire chain reaction - similar to dominoes. If one of them is tilted, this element pushes the earth towards another tipping point...

I generally do not like portrait orientation for 'landscapes', but once in a while it is essential. As we walked to Virginia Falls at Glacier National Park, Virginia Creek flowed next to the trail for short distances at some points. The roar of the water here created by the creek and the beautiful background made for an unforgettable moment.

The Common Copper is a small butterfly that presents a certain variability according to the generations and the subspecies. The top of the anterior wings is copper, more or less suffused with brown while the hind wings are brown bordered by a broad copper band.
The underside of the anterior wing is orange with black dots circled in white and bordered with beige, while the reverse side of the hind wings is beige to light brown depending on the subspecies.
An older image from the harbour in Flensburg! I found it to be a wonderful place. Since they keep "the points" there (traffic violations and such) I was pleased that there was so much more to this city. I would love to return there one day.

Deadhorse Point State Park has many vantage points to view this amazing landscape. Below you can see the Colorado River winding through the desert as a storm approaches.
Thanks for stopping by
Large, long-legged bird shaped much like a heron. Gray body, sometimes with intense rusty staining. Adults have red crown. Often in large flocks at migration and wintering concentration points. Favors marshes and agricultural fields where they eat primarily grains. In flight, neck is outstretched, unlike herons with tucked necks. Snappy wingbeats. Listen for far-carrying bugling call. A surprise find for an early Spring morning. This small flock of Sandhill Cranes flew up the river on their way to their breeding territories a little further north.

The Parthenon (/ˈpɑːrθəˌnɒn, -nən/; Ancient Greek: Παρθενών; Greek: Παρθενώνας, Parthenónas) is a former temple, on the Athenian Acropolis, Greece, dedicated to the goddess Athena, whom the people of Athens considered their patron. Construction began in 447 BC when the Athenian Empire was at the peak of its power. It was completed in 438 BC although decoration of the building continued until 432 BC. It is the most important surviving building of Classical Greece, generally considered the zenith of the Doric order. Its decorative sculptures are considered some of the high points of Greek art. The Parthenon is regarded as an enduring symbol of Ancient Greece, Athenian democracy and Western civilization, and one of the world's greatest cultural monuments. To the Athenians who built it, the Parthenon and other Periclean monuments of the Acropolis, were seen fundamentally as a celebration of Hellenic victory over the Persian invaders and as a thanksgiving to the gods for that victory. The Greek Ministry of Culture is currently carrying out a program of selective restoration and reconstruction to ensure the stability of the partially ruined structure. Arguably the longest river in the world, the Amazon meanders its way from the towering Andes in Peru to the sweeping coastline of Brazil, where it empties into the vast Atlantic Ocean. The Amazon River and its tributaries is located in Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, and Brazil. The entire river measures over 4,000 miles from its source to the river mouth. However, the exact length of the Amazon is arguable as the location of its start and end points have both been disputed historically. The Amazon River is currently alleged to be 6,992 kilometers long.*
