Keeping with my recent macro theme, I decided to get in real close this time. This ladybug was a very kind subject, as she flew on top of an orange (of all things), and decided to hang around long enough for me to get my gear out.

This was my first attempt at going super macro, using a combination of extension tubes, extender and 100mm macro lens.

"Ladybug Macro" is a non-HDR image that was processed using a combination of ACR, Photoshop, and Topaz Labs plugins (Adjust, Clean, Detail, Denoise, and Glow).

I'm a huge fan of Topaz labs and their plugins. They just released a monster of a plugin. Topaz labs

This is a modification I've done to the amazing Unique Grasses plugin by Tamu75. I love that plugin but I've always wanted a grass mod with better FPS, and as beautiful as Tamu's version of grass is, I felt it was lacking in just adding basic grasses to the mix, so I've incorporated unbelievable grass into this plugin, as well as some SFO plants, especially in the marsh region. I've also used the very simple GoS tweak of adding tons of grasses into the game: these pictures are shot with imingrasssize=60, and this isn't even all the grasses I've incorporated, since I realized I only had 8 textures when there are 15. More to come soon.

How To Use VirtualPhotographer - I hope this will help anyone fairly new to photography and are wondering about how to post-process a photo to give a dramatic monochrome look using free software (apps). I took the original colour photo with my Panasonic Lumix LF1 compact camera back in April 2016, I’m using the original as example of what you can do with the free VirtualPhotographer plugin. I use this with IrfanView. I have detailed the steps I used to go from the “as taken” image to the above black & white image, you can download the how to do it in PDF here: app.box.com/s/ol8gpm1vz483t751n3qkse7x4502aewt

This software and these cool onOne tools are amazing and fun. I really dig them! I've been tinkering and experimenting for quite a while, and I finally decided to get my act together and write a full review.

People that joined the Facebook Fan Page got a sneak preview of this review, and now I can open it up to the rest of the world - I hope you enjoy it!

The onOne Plugin Review holds all the secrets and more inside. If you enjoy seeing what the latest technology can do to your photos, well, then, you'll love all unexpected surprises that will open themselves in your computer!

The grass mod is finally finished. Ideal setting is imingrasssize=70 for a sweet spot between density and performance, but go as low as 50 for better coverage or as high as 100 for more performance.

I'll add the link to the download shortly.

A re-edit of a photo I took over 14 years ago on a trip Marthas Vineyard with my then-new EOS 30D. Revisiting the image, I de-noised it using a Topaz plugin in Photoshop, ran it through Photolemur 3, made adjustments and applied a lookup table in Luminar 4. Finally, I went back to Photoshop and did a de-noise pass to remove posterization artifacts.

Finally got the forest grass looking how I want it for the most part. This is at imingrasssize=50 which will be the 'screenarchery' setting. Lumen ENB used in this round.

Goal: To create key art for an upcoming sermon series on serving.

Audience: Adult weekend service.

Direction: The goal was to come up with key art and a logo for this series. The big idea is that being the light of the world requires that we connect to others (or get plugged to the mission of the church.) The light bulb and plug are going to be the key metaphors of this series.

Project: This is the key art for the series.

As always your comments and feedback are appreciated.

Hello real-time comrades, spring is coming here in the heart of Europe and here are some of my blossoms.

- Resolume Plugins:

I've expanded a Resolume-Wire example a bit and provided/get-free various options like made internal effects like that for your live performances. You can download it from the Resolume forum and use it commercially, i.e., at all kinds of events:

resolume.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=29319/

〽️

〽️

Something that many Resolume users unfortunately find little use in Arena/Avenue or Wire is trick-effect-blendings from "clip to clip" or "layer to layer".

Unfortunately, there are no examples for the so-called "Mixer's" in Wire, and Mixer plugins are rarely released. Therefore, I've created two sutch Mixer examples, along with brief instructions for handling & creating, and made them available for download as Wire patches and compiled Arena/Avenue plugins:

resolume.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=29401/

- ISF's:

"ZapyZupi by ChatGPT & bennoH."

A small collaborative project with ChatGPT, also as a demonstrating that you can build consistently fun and creative shaders with the AI of OpenAI, even if you're practically clueless about GLSL or ISF coding (although some basic knowledge is certainly helpful).

So I've made that ISF created in this way, with some options for live use, free avilable for download on the ISF-platform under an MIT license, which also allows commercial use:

"Standart HUEAdjust-Function"

In another co-production with ChatGPT, I was dealing with a problem in Resolume Wire, where I create a lot of Arena plugins based on ISFs. I was repeatedly unable to create a color field for individual elements/things in the shader for quick and easy color selection and combinig it with a option in Arena to add animated color gradients over the HUE-rotation to these elements.

So, I created a standard code block that can be integrated into almost any ISF, making it possible to make HUE an option available in the ISF to create a HUE input even if a color picker is already set for that seperat element in the shader.

I have made this code block freely available to everyone on the ISF platform under an MIT license.

editor.isf.video/shaders/67f2bf1706e5160019c9ec2f/

It's less about the entire ISF here than about the verified code blocks in this ISF code, but you can also use the shader itself under "CC BY-NC-SA 3.0"

& last but not least for the ISF-news, here are two new ISFs from me from the beginning of 2025:

"The ChainTruchet or another truchet experiment of mrange - adaptet for ISF by bennoH. 2025" as a MIT-licensed shader

- App tests & try-outs:

I've finally installed after long wished & years now "NestDrop Classic V2"

(only Win 10/11)

nestimmersion.ca/nestdrop.php

and MilkDrop's, and I've given so Resolume Arena a cool new source of 100K&+ free footages or contents via the NestDrop integrated spout, all for free unbelievable!!

And so I must say it is a real joy to play around with it and I highly recommend NestDrop Classic, especially to Arena or Avenue users. I would like to thank Isosceles very much for this fantastic and generous gift and can imagine upgrading to the paid version one day, which isn't exactly expensive either. The huge number of MilkDrops, or plugins, that are available for NestDrop on the internet absolutely free of charge make this software even more interesting as a Resolume Arena/Avenue extension or as a standalone. An astonishing variety is offered in really good quality and NestDrop's sound control, as well as the simple, uncomplicated operating elements, are very user-friendly and ideal for newbies to VJing or even for those with absolutely no experience, for at home at a birthday party or even at a large event for VJ pros who can liven things up in Arena with effects and slices until it's a flyover.

You can already find many thousands of additional free presets on the NestDrop website, but here is a link to, unbelievably but true, to get +100K free presets:

forums.winamp.com/forum/visualizations/milkdrop/milkdrop-...

I am only positively surprised and can just say again:

Thank you very much Isosceles and Team!
