The Plesiosaurus looks a little angry.

We rode bikes for a few km out of town to the excellent museum at the Centro de Investigaciones Paleontologicas. Across the street is another great museum called "El Fossil", which has a really great origin story.

The boys helped push out the wooden shapes and Mum built the first one.

Large water reptile whose name means "Near Lizard." They ranged in size from 8' to 40' long. Some had small heads with long nexks and paddle-like limbs. Of the Mesozoic Era.

Just to clarify, "Plesiosaur" refers to the order Plesiosauria (class Reptilia or Sauropterygia), not to a specific genus or species (for example, Plesiosaurus), which can be subdivided into Plesiosauroids and Pliosauroids. They were technically not dinosaurs.
