Happy Monday my dear flickr friends! ♥♥

Mary, je mi velmi líto tvé ztráty! :-( Ztratit jednoho kocourka je velká bolest a ty jsi ztratila hned dvě kočičky. :-( Je mi to moc líto. :-( Nesmírně moc si vážím tvých slov. Děkuji ti z celého srdce. ♥♥♥♥

I think this photo represents my whole summer and all my sorrow considering that school starts tomorrow. I hoped that at the end of this vacation (ie now), I will feel rested and full of vim, but all that I can feel right now is emptiness. I skipped yesterday 'cause I felt useless, not to mention the lack of time... It's just not fair. I keep committing the same mistakes with this project, and this makes me think that I'm a fool. I took my bike this afternoon and decided not to stop until I find the perfect place. While I was riding, the nature all around me was slowly dying. Although I look forward to autumn, today I just wanted to see one more time the 'attraction' of summer. And I found it. I turned off the road and went on a labyrinth-like path and suddenly I felt like Alice walking in her Wonderland. I came across places like I never would thought that exist here, in my uncolored town.

My first custom petite! She has been rerooted in mohair and given a new faceup. Her lips are yellow with glitter (although it's a bit hard to see the glitter in the photo) ;) I have started a Flickr group especially for customised petite Blythe dolls. I would love it if Petite lovers would join!

Chebucto Head has had four different lighthouses and many keeper's houses. The first lighthouse at Chebucto Head, was built in 1872.

The 3rd and wartime lighthouse had to be constructed when the Chebucto Head gun battery was built at the site. At this time a lighthouse at the head was needed to help guide the convoy vessels in and out of Halifax Harbour. Built to safeguard the movement of Battle of the Atlantic Convoys, it is directly associated with an important national event in Canadian history.

The lighthouse today (4th) is a very popular destination for hikers, shipwreck divers and people for a great view of the ocean, passing ships and whales.

Lighthouse Location: west entrance to Halifax Harbour

Lighthouse Structure: Octagonal concrete tower, red aluminum lantern

The lighthouse was built and first lit in 1967

Tower height: 13.7 m (45ft)

Light height: 62ft (18.9ft)

Light range: 25.75 km (16 m)

Light characteristic: Flashing White (20sec).

Light automated (destaffed): 1980

The weather was great for the walk and the water made it perfect to get reflections.

Croatia's first National park (Plitvice Lake) established in 1949 covers 296.85 km2 of breathtaking natural splendor. The park was inscribed on the UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1979, in recognition of its "outstanding natural beauty and undisturbed production of travertine (tufa) through chemical and biological action". The park represents a phenomenon of karst hydrography.

The park harbours a grand collection of waterfalls, gallery of lakes, forest and diversity of animal life. The lakes are renowned for their distinctive colors, ranging from azure to green, grey or blue. The colors change constantly depending on the quantity of minerals or organisms in the water and the angle of sunlight. The sixteen lakes which are formed by natural dams of travertine are separated into upper and lower lakes. About eight km of pathways and wooden walking trails around lakes are accessible to visitors. Trails are descending from an altitude of 636m to 503m above sea level.

Since only 3 countries do not use the metric system I will no longer convert any measurements to the imperial system.
