The Vaillancourt Fountain, sometimes called Quebec libre!, is a large fountain located in Justin Herman Plaza in San Francisco, designed by the Québécois artist Armand Vaillancourt in 1971. It is about 12 m (40 ft) high and is constructed out of precast concrete square tubes. Pumps out about 30,000 gallons of water per minutes.

It was drained for repairs June 14, 2023, it had various electrical problems that had to be repaired.

I couldn't believe the Longhorns were eating on these chollas! They were attacking them trying to bite off just the yellow pods from the old blooms. Their noses were full of thorns. The pods must have been at just the right stage to tempt them. It was like it was torture but yet they really couldn't help themselves. You'd have thought it was loco weed.
