Happy New Year everyone. I've been suckered into taking family photos for money. I need some ideas of settings. Here is one I took last year which isn't too bad if you like that kind of thing. How can I get everyone in focus but a lovely soft background. Is that Photoshop trickery? I've read so many conflicting ideas on the interweb - one wedding photographer shoots everyone at f2.8 but I've no idea how he gets them all in focus. Maybe he only photographs bridal parties who are all the same height and will stand in a straight line? Sigh. So, hit me with it all you clever people out there!

P.S. I do some some idea obvs but families are tricky - maybe I should take a cattle prod with me??

Please correct me if it’s a short or long billed

The remains of the Crusader town, dating from 1104 to 1291, lie almost intact, both above and below today’s street level, providing an exceptional picture of the layout and structures of the capital of the medieval Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem.

Looking up at part of the ceiling of the cathedral.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Salzburg Cathedral is the 7th century Baroque cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Salzburg, dedicated to Saint Rupert and Saint Vergilius.

Founded by Saint Rupert in 774 on the remnants of a Roman town, the cathedral was rebuilt in 1181 after a fire. In the 17th century, the cathedral was completely rebuilt in the Baroque style under Prince-Bishop Wolf Dietrich Raitenau to its present appearance.

Crescent Beach, notice all the social distancing.....this is part of the reason Nova Scotia has NO cases at all of corona virus.

-----------------------------------------------

Crescent Beach is a rare type of beach barrier called a tombolo, approximately 2 km (1.24 mi) long and 40 to 65 m (131 - 213 ft) wide. It divides the head of Green Bay from the tidal flats and salt march of Dublin Bay.

A tombolo is a natural sand bar that heads straight off shore to an island. A tombolo maintains a fragile balance between a building up of sand deposited by wind (generation), and the erosion of sand through wave scouring (degeneration). Most tombolos are therefore mobile, constantly shifting in length and width. Many will eventually disappear completely.

Please meet a very good friend of ours who we met in San Miguel, Iloilo, Philippines. He was around 86 years old. He would be seen each morning, rain or fine, going to get his cows. He always had a cheerful word.

Please follow me if you like my photos, I am not the best photographer as I take most of my shots from my wheelchair so I cannot get into the best places/positions to take a picture but I try my best. Lee

Not sure they need to pay someone to hold this sign...there are clearly fewer people in line at the "next gate."
