The stained-glass windows are the work of Enrico Leone Donati, an artist from Zürich.

The Church of St. Maurice was built in 1867 and renovated in 1972/73.. Below the Parish Church is a chapel built into the rocks.

When we went back home, 2 kingfishers lied down in front of a large glass window. I know they are dead, but my son thought they just conk out. So he said "Please wake up and fly!" many times over...

I took a side trip to the community of Prospect while driving to take a hike at Polly's Cove. I was a great day and the water was very still making for great reflections. Prospect, Nova Scotia, Canada.

One thing we do have in Nova Scotia are lots of quaint fishing villages.

A relief on the outside shows, that Emperor Charlemagne founded the church in 792.
