There was a empty platform at the location but have no idea what it was for.. Could be a cremation platform (aku)
as it was the practice back during the ancestor worship time, but I really don't know.

Ahu Ature Huki - this single moai was the first to be raised on the island in modern times.
The Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl, had 12 islanders raise the statue to test theories on how it was done.
They used wooden poles, stones and ropes to rise the moai on the ahu, it took 18 days.
CSA's fleet of five ATR72's have been acquired second-hand, with this example coming from Jet Airways in October 2012. Taxiing past the viewing platform having just arrived from Prague as the CSA534.

A colourful Grand Central train photo-bombed this shot of Kings Cross but I think it made the photo. Kings Cross is now dominated by the huge 'Platform G' building.
20 311 and 20 314 approach Wilnecote in the pouring rain with 7X10 04.32 Fenny Compton to Derby Litchurch Lane returning a rake of London Underground S-Stock for signaling modifications. The consist is viewed through the immense amount of platform 'equipment' provided at the station.
Memories of Southall station It was the Thursday before Easter Sunday, and I had stationed myself at my old childhood spotting haunt of Southall footbridge (now sadly dismantled) to photograph some of the Easter relief services that were timetabled. Of course back then there was plenty of traction to interest the photographer :)
Despite the subject matter of this shot - namely a 'boring' Inter City liveried 'Duff', or Class 47 or even 'Brush Type 4' I have to say that it's one of my favourites. The telephoto lens has compressed all three local landmarks (at least for me) with the old footbridge in the foreground, and the Victorian water tower and later gasometer competing for space. The scene is completed with one of the long-serving Pressed Steel Class 117 DMUs on the up slow platform 😎:)
Not sure what the working was, but it's unusual to say a pair of BGs at the front of the train?
Oh just spotted a FOURTH LOCAL LANDMARK! On the road bridge, can just glimpse the Shahi Nan Kabab takeaway which is now sadly dismantled ☹️
I was never a fan of the the ubiquitous and hugely annoying (in their day) Brush Type 4s or Class 47s. Known in the bashing fraternity as Duffs (unpopular locos), Strummers or Strums (engine sound on acceleration) or Spoons (source unknown - possibly the sound of the horn ;) - they appeared with such regular monotony on both passenger and freight trains, it became a fine art trying to avoid them 😄. It was certainly quite a challenge to cop them all for sight - something I didn't achieve until well into the 1980s (with the exception of the early casualties). Now, of course, in the 21st century, they have acquired a certain aura of nostalgia - as most of the original BR locomotive classes have - and some are still in mainline service some 60 years on, mostly in the guise of re-engined Class 57s.
Taken with a Soviet made Zenith TTL SLR camera and 300mm telephoto lens, using Kodak ASA100 colour negative film. Scanned from the original negative with no digital restoration.

This is part of the retired St. Louis Union Station. The train and platform now sit as a display of what the station used to look like.
The Platform Departure Momoko has just arrived. I don't like her but I already knew that thanks to the promo pictures: she has some characteristics I don't like at all in a momoko (the awful white line under the eyes, the brown pupil, the orange-beige eyes, the ugly wavy fringe, the oily hair, the too pale- transparent skin, the totally uncool outfit). She seems a loser. :-P
I think she reminds in some way some other momoko, that's why I wanted to take some comparison pics. For me she loses the match in every pic.
LEFT TOP: old PW 02KF has the same wavy fringe, similar hair colour, blush on cheeks and too light pupil but she has a cute, vivid skin tone and above all she has not that white line under the eyes. 02KF wins the match.
RIGHT TOP: CCS Aquarius LAMMFROMM FROMM has the same (even if specular) wavy fringe but her hair are soft and lightweight, whereas Platform's hair are heavy and oily. No eyelashes for both, but Aquarius has realistic brown eyes whereas Platform has unrealistic orange-beige eyes. Aquarius wins the match.
BOTTOM LEFT: CCS Beauty Cat has the same awful eyes (same colour and same clear under line) and the same too pale skin, but the colour of her soft hair is beautiful. And no wavy fringe. Beauty cat wins the match even if I don't like her at all.
BOTTOM RIGHT: I added the comparison with ae Momo Girl L because someone think they are similar. I don't think so: they look totally different to me. They have nothing in common: no hair style, no eyes. Just lipstick and skin tone are similar, but Momo Girl L is not that transparent: I love her and she wins the match ten-nil.
As always, these are JUST my tastes, I would like to know yours.
