When I stopped at the bridge to look for birds (or whatever) to photograph, this empty bottle was sitting on the post exactly as it is - I never touched it, and the shot isn't cropped even by a hair. All I had to do was take a knee and shoot. It had me wondering if perhaps a previously passing photographer had placed it there and left it for me.
I'll come back to this one when I start doubting the autofocus ability of my 70-300 VR lens. Now if everything I shoot could just have a high-contrast label and hold still like that...
(There are now no birds on my front page. I don't think that's happened before ;-)

Zwei Molke saufende Weideschweine auf der Sommeralp am Nationalfeiertag. Äusserst agiles, kluges, zähes, dem Wollschwein anverwandtes Weideschwein. Die Rasse soll aus Kroatien stammen. Derzeit sind diese Schweine auf der Sommeralp zusammen mit Hausschweinen, Pfauenziegen, Rindern, Mutterkühen und Milchkühen. Sie saufen die aus der Käseproduktion anfallende Molke und fressen gerne Gras mit allerlei Kräutern. Dem Menschen ähnlich sind sie so wie dieser Allesfresser. Der Geruchsinn geht jedoch bei den Schweinen allen anderen Sinnen voran, der Sehsinn scheint am wenigsten wichtig zu sein. Sie sind gesellige, sehr aufmerksame Tiere die erstaunlich stramm unterwegs sind. Was ihnen in den Weg kommt, sie stört oder Konkurrenz ist wird einfach weggeräumt. Sie wühlen mässig aber wenn sie es tun sind sie sehr effizient. Viel harte Muskeln, wenig Fett, zähe Haut und ziemlich viel Hirn. Sie haben eine Art ernsthafte Verspieltheit und sind unglaublich Reaktionsschnell. Ein grosses Vergnügen diese wunderbaren Tiere so frei draussen unterwegs beobachten zu dürfen.
