Close-up of apothecial disks and algae filaments, at 30x. The fungus imperceptibly encases the wispy strands of dark greenish algae. (It is visible -- barely -- only at 400x-1000x under a compound microscope.)

Daphne's lovely pet. It sucks that I forgot to check my ISO and all my photos were shot at 1600. Haiz.. **palm on face and shake head**. Have to add to my long long list of mental note = "Don't get drunk the night before and let another photographer play with my camera and forget to check all settings afterward".
