Cross-Paws Dingo Grrl
Pixie, my Australian Cattle Dog (AuCaDo) or Queensland Blue Heeler chillin' with her homies. Behind her is Sydney the Australian Kelpie (or Barb) and Digger, another AuCaDo. The red ball is an open core toy known as a Booda Yapple, made to have a large floss rope knotted through it. The boys play keep-away with it, the Grrls ignore everything except the chew toys.
Pixie is our Queen of Shriek and Mistress of the Bark. Her nickname is Spottweiler, for obvious reasons.
Pixies played "Doolittle" at the Paramount Theatre on November 5, 2011. This was part of the "Lost Cities" tour where Pixies played in places they have never played before.

So for .25 each, how could I pass em up. I was not allowed to hang em in any room but my office. Why? After I dusted them with a teeny paint brush and sprayed them with clear finish they hardly smell at all! LOL
Well, they do still a little bit.
Oh and hanging em crooked just adds to the double-wide look I'm going for in there.
Paz Lenchantin is the new touring bassist for the Pixies. I saw her last month playing with her other band the Entrance band. I was blown away with her voice and the way she played the bass. Since I am shooting the Pixies next week I wanted to see how their stage would be set up so I could understand how to shoot this newest member and the location of Paz Lenchantin on the stage.
I was so impressed seeing Paz on the Coachella live feed and her voice was perfect on "Greens and Blues" my favorite new Pixie song:
"I’m wasting your time, just talking to you
Maybe best you go on home.
I'll leave you alone, fade from your mind,
Slip into the greens and blues."
The Pixies are a must see at Coachella and if you are well heeled I am sure you can pay top dollar to buy someone's ticket waiting in line at Pappy and Harriet's next Thursday which is sold out prior to week two of Coachella.

As usual, I can't make up my mind. Poor Pixie, I took off her mohair scalp (seen in pics below)... and tried on these two others that I was planning to put on future custom dolls. And I think I like these better....
D'oh!
And I always wanted a mohair weft scalp too... I guess I can save it for another doll later.

Pixie`s base doll is a new Zinochika Blythe with a partial reroot hair specialty to made her fringe, it was bought new to make this OOAK custom little girl. Doll comes with new box with stand and shipper.
*Carving of her mouth including new teeth, chin, nose, eyes, phyltrum and nostrils.
*Face-up done with high quality pastels, acrilycs and sealed with many layers of MSC.
*Pixie was adopted in France by a good Mon ^__^
