Mosaic Piece

East London

A study of pixel sorting as applied to animation. I feel there's a lot that could be done with the concept.

Magnetic Pixels is a fabulous idea, but a single set isn't able to handle even a rather mundane 32x32 pixel pic. Of course, it's a poor workman who blames his tools, so I'll be going back to the drawing board (more correctly: the refrigerator door) with a few 16x16 artworks.

Images are not cleaned up. You can see some hot pixels in the photographs. Scroll through at your leisure. These photos were taken in Ammon, Idaho. The camera was an old Nikon Coolpix 4500, hence the hot pixels, attached to a William-Optics 81mm Gran Turismo on an iOptron iEQ30 mount. When I find the time maybe I'll clean these photos up a little.

i also love this photo because i did so well and im proud of myself, if this was a real picture i would say it uses eye level composition and symmetry. its a good photo because it turned out amazing and it also helps that i used to draw minecraft skins as a kid so it really paid off i guess. this pic deserves and A for my Picasso skills.

Finally got around to uploading some pics from a trip to Japan. Hopefully will get around to adding better tags/titles/geo at some point.

I only had my phone (a Google Pixel 3a) with me so was a little limited but seemed to cope OK.
